You can sell a "business" that includes the account, just as court orders have forced people to surrender their ebay and other social media accounts.

Buyers on ebay are scumbags. I'm getting sick of sending items, getting positive feedback then the buyer just going "Whelp, The item doesn't match the description" a week or so later and ebay ALWAYS taking their side. Happened countless times now and I'm at the end of my rope with it.

I'm also getting fed up with how bloody aggressive buyers are. One person complained that something arrived damaged, I was perfectly happy to replace/refund but I would just like to see a picture of the damage to confirm the issue, the reply? "I don't need to send you anything, you know you sent a defective product, I refuse to send you a picture this is stupid. refund me now".

Do this.

Say that this is unfortunate and that mail fraud is a federal legal issue and that you will alert their local police to investigate.

Nothing will usually happen but using these big legal words scares the shit out of them that the item magically appears.

I would have people tell me their kids paid with their credit card and that they didn't want the item but would obviously never send it back.

I told them that I have to report credit card fraud and that I would be cooperating with their local police. I wish I could see the pile of shit in their pants when I sent that because in that case I had her admitting her child performed credit card fraud right there.

Scammers usually last a while if their account is in good standing, as in they have bought a lot and the account is really old.

If you're being scammed by a (0) feedback buyer, I congratulate the scammer, as I would a 419 scammer for being able to scam a dumb ass that can't understand how simple scams work.
It's just all hustling in the end...

Yea eBay tends to delete listings when a large competitor doesn't want you in their way. Same goes for Amazon and their FBA. If they see you're selling lower than THEIR price, they might freeze your acc and ask where you get your stuff.

So play it safe.

Last I checked, you can't even type in "From this price to this price" thing on Amazon.

Most ads/items are duplicates that are at the end of the search results. Like on page 10. Even after page 10, some pages aren't even real...

Lol, Thanks for that post. I needed that. Its been a rough couple weeks on eBay. I can't tell you how many times I've seen don't waste time for $10. well I worked hard for that $10.

However you really blew my mind with the possibility of eBay shills on forums. Especially because I think they venture onto other more obscure forums now that you said that. But its a reality I never thought about. Most of the glass I sell is pretty obscure. I would venture that half of my sales go to people in high income areas who are also dealers. If they were close enough to drive to their house and kick them in the balls I would actually do it. I can literally throw my packages as hard as I could at a wall without fear of them breaking. But people say its broken but can't be bothered to take a picture.

Actually the only thing eBay needs to do is make it so sellers can leave negs for the buyers. I think eBay was actually much more successful back then.

Craigslist has a large flake percentage and everyone wants to haggle when they already agreed to a price. Plus I have to use my time.

Since my main profit items are very small, I'm fine with paying the $2.04 to ship it. Listing costs make up like $0.02 of profit loss on each item even with all the subtitle, bold, and gallery plus.

Auctions are more for buyers than the sellers. A bad auction for a seller will be a great auction for a buyer.

>don't have a job
There are people that don't think selling on eBay is just as hard as working a ''real'' job. In a Facebook group I'm in there are some people who's significant other or friends have the same point of view, you might sway them or you may not, at the end of the day you are working for yourself and not having to answer to anyone 90% means you're happier than if you had a ''real'' job. I taught my brothers fiance how to sell on eBay, after a month he was already doubting her and he wanted to see results already, I explained to him how it works starting out but my brother has almost no patience. All the while he didn't even have a job and wasn't searching while she did, and she saw how successful I was being self employed so she came to me for help.

All that ''real'' job bullshit gets on my nerves, instead of supporting their partner/friend they just want to criticize. A friend of mine that started selling on eBay broke up with his girlfriend shortly after he started reselling, she said ''I don't want to date a guy that sells videogames and junk on eBay''. He couldn't have been happier to ditch her since she was ballooning up, lazy and bringing no money in.

Because it's not. I do about 35k/ year on ebay as a side job. It took me a couple hours to get my listings like I wanted them (I don't get questions about my items). Everything is pre-packaged (do it when product arrives, takes probably 2 hours), just needs a label slapped on in the morning and I drop them off at the blue box when I get in my car to go to my real job. About 15 minutes a day.

The only job I've ever had that was easier was a work study job in college where I got paid to watch TV and let the UPS guy in the door when he showed up.

Sure you work more if you're trying to flip garage sale items or auction finds, but even then, it should be less than 30 minutes per unique item.

Happens a lot, I just keep it to the side. Might be a competitor trying to put a legitimate negative feedback on your acc. Where he tries to open case on the last possible day claiming they haven't received it.

eBay would refund since it was returned (unless it was rejected at the buyer's home/customs issue).

Is there any chance to get my eBay account back after being restricted from selling and receiving the following answer from eBay upon contacting them?
"For your account, there is no appeal for this selling restriction. From this point forward, in order to conduct business on the Internet as a seller, you will have to find a different venue."

I know the answer is written right there, but I'm having a hard time realizing that this has just happened.

Brotip: You're a non-white immigrant. Stop using Paypal's bullshit service. Get a SBA loan, specifically a microloan. They go up to 50k and you can get some really fucking sweet interest rates on them. Plus if you really want to put the time into it, you could probably qualify for a grant, but you'll have to do something other than import boob mouse pads.

See that's a problem, in my current situation, everything is based on the space I have to hold things, as to shipping/competition.

I'd rather focus on a market I know is a little difficult to get into, than go work my ass off selling things I only make .20c on, or go looking for more capital somewhere else.

I'll look into SBA loans when I can at least say I own a fully working company.

I lol'd when you said you were going to sell Windows keys, no one is allowed to sell keys unless they have some sort of contract with Microsoft.

Legit or not, eBay doesn't know and doesn't want any part of it.

Also, it's against the rules to sell goods by sending it through the mail on eBay (unless again, eBay lets you).

You must remember that not everyone likes buying from China. Also if eBay tends to delete feedbacks from Chinese sellers. So all those "My item never showed up" won't be there to stop the next buyer from buying.

Still don't understand why people would want to wait 20 days when they can wait 2 days for $2 more dollars.

eBay deletes chink "item never arrived" feedback but wont delete my negative feedback from someone who blackmailed me. Okay.

How the fuck do people even find niche's anymore?

It took me 6 MONTHS to find ONE PRODUCT that wasn't selling on eBay.

And even so, I only sold 7 of them within 5 months.

all the chinkerinos sell things for $.75 + free shipping

all the american fucktards think they can sell the same item for $1.50 + free shipping only to make .50 more.

I need to find more products like this, but for some reason everyone and their fucking stillborn children are selling everything imagineable on ebay.

Well for some it works, you should know that EVERYTHING IS BASED ON SHIPPING. Those big sellers you see on eBay aren't shipping anywhere near the price you are. They too have deals like the Chinese where they can ship things for dirt cheap since they ship hundreds daily.

>stock i ordered from Aliexpress and opened up a storefront, I'd make more money than doing this shit on ebay

USPS isn't going to do a fucking thing, because they don't know where it is, and frankly it's not the seller's fault that they lost it, so you can either bitch and moan for a refund, or wait, because it's almost definitely going to be found and delivered to you "soon".

On top of that, the whole defect system is a joke.

You're just making sellers more...what's the word...sneaky?

Making them not accept returns because they know they will get a defect for it???
Then the buyers use the "INAD" (Item not as described) case to force return it, making you get more defects.

When will eBay learn?
