Back. Was driving, you can ask someone into mining for the roms, just specify the gpu memory (samsung/hynix/elpida/micro) and use ATI flash. Make sure you don't brick your card with a wrong bios, that will be a pain in the ass to revert (although possible).
I think the new 570s/580s have dual bios (a small switch in the side of the gpu), this is a safe aproach in case you brick your card.
The most important thing are the memory timings. I can't tell you because all my cards have different settings/memories. some can go up to 34, some get stuck at 28. I recomend a mod that keeps the hashrate at 29 but will decrease consumption significatively.
Don't ask on /g/ for roms, they will brick your card because they are too poor to afford gpus thanks to miners.

Oh, and depending on gpu inflation in your area, some cards might not be worth it. Like for instance, if you can get 1070s for the price of 580s, go for it. It will save you the hassle of modding the bios and has better resale value to gamefags. They also have a very low consumption (120w under equihash max load at the wall)
If you can get vegas for msrp, for fucks sake go with it, they do 2100h on cryptonight stock and 45mh on eth stock. Just wait until someone optimizes a bios for it and we are looking at 3000h/60mh per vega 64

Got 470/570s for 200-250€ and my 1070s for 450€

Look into asics, they are probably the best deal before new gpu gen comes out. I'm saving for the new nvidea touring gen/amd competition and will probably dump all my portfolio on more machines if the hashrate turns out to be monstruous

What to dual mine alongside ETH?

Decred, LBRY or PASCAL?

not worth it to dual mine, consumption will jump from 100w to 150w and those coins are no longer gpu profitable.
>>8159745
yes, low cap coin with good marketing, cool logo and best algo. I'm waiting til at least 20 cents

Maybe it's not even listed on any exchanges yet. I know a cryptonight coin who fits the description if it gets listed and sold at 1 sat, which of course i'm mining the fuck out of it

Yes, but isn't awesome miner aren't free for 2+ miners ?
You can use multipoolminer (and disable donating, if you want to) or something else.
But MPH isn't great choice for obscure coins, which may or may not moon someday.

Some pascal and black2s shit are mildly profitable to dual-mine.

it's called a motherboard, and it's where you mount your cpu, gpu, ram, ssd and psu

Honestly not a bad move if you got your rig paid, since GPU prices are very inflated right now and normie (aka nicehash/whattomine mining) profitability is pretty low atm. But the miners who really know how to dig deep will keep their rigs mining new, undervalued coins.

That is fucking beautiful. I'd say I wish I had a stash like that but I have no clue where I'd put them.
Still haven't figured out how to deal with the setup I have now once summer comes.

Also, do you have any plans for your hardware if mining were to become impractical? I figure there would still be money in selling processing power but no idea what market rates are and how they will compare on something like golem.

I'm a really smalltime miner, 2 RX580s mining ethereum, 4 1080TIs mining BTCP or ZEN depending on my mood, and a galaxy note 8 'mining' ETN.

Right now I'm just building up a stack of coin for the next bullrun, and then I plan to cash out for more GPUs. As long as my breakeven period is under a year, I'll keep buying cards.

yes, dl xmr stak, add to startup folder and make it run in the background. Set intensity to 50% so the pc is still usable though

It’s not illegal right? I also imagine libraries have admin settings you would need to bypass to download anything onto them, have you done this before anon?

Wouldn't call that small time miner, more like mid tier. Small time would be those pajeets mining with their CPUS and an old GPU

What do you earn per 1050?
I have two 750ti, and I wanted to invest in some 1050ti (2 to 4 dependong of cash and price).
I'm runing nicehash by day, and half nicehadh, half shitcoin by night.

The 1050ti's earn between 80 cents, and a dollar, depending on current market value of the alts nicehash tells it to mine. Do the 750ti's play nice with the latest nicehash beta, or do you have to run the legacy miner?
