Because you're buying just 'because', without any real thought or long-term insight into your investment. This isn't gambling, you need to be thoughtful of your choices and take into account indicators and market sentiment to really not feel like you made a bad choice. Most of those choices are few and far between. 99 percent of the time it's a sub-optimal time to buy.
