has anyone ever made money using forex ?
and i don't mean getting lucky one time and making big bucks, i mean like making a living out it in the long run

I started out trying to gain on trends, but I figured I made more money by just going to work. Then I tried to make some money on gambling on macroeconomics and lost it all. Forex sucks.

don't do it for profits and don't do it unless you're actually interested in forex, which means you'll probably have to be fascinated with it in order to have to motivation to stick at it.

Trade a mini account of live money to begin with, use demo to figure out how to use the platform and get used to it. Don't bother with technical analysis, start with market profile. That's a lot of work but technical analysis has even less use and effectiveness in forex then other markets.

You can move onto other markets when you have enough capital, that you have the experience to be able to trade.

The advantage of forex is that you can get real trading experience as a newbie and you only need a mini account. But its probably the hardest market to be profitable in
