Not shilling. Just interested to know what you think now that the website and details are out. I don't understand it well but it looks like a more completed version of Golem (GNT)

Tell me what you think.

Buzzwords of the universe unite. "Tokenised for maximum scalability" what bullshit.

In other words get complicated ideas fed to them and they decide what can be monetized.

My understanding is that scientist submit work to be processed on a super computer. Miners use their cards to process the work with hash power and get tokens. The tokens are sold on market and scientist buy them when they need work to be processed on a super computer.

There's one problem with this that is obvious to me. I don't think there's going to be many scientists paying big bucks to use this supercomputer. The lack of demand will depress the price of tokens in the medium to long term. The miners will also be dumping this the second they get it, again, depressing the price. Anyone that buys this on exchange and doesn't dump will eventually become a bag holder for the ages.

Richard will be the only winner. He will make millions on the ico. More millions by dumping his pre-mined stack. Then some more by renting out his super computer to scientists for fiat.

If the cap is low I would flip this but it's destined to become worthless.

There is a video of him crying about how these meme-tier alts are being valued at $100MM and he lost out holding BTC. This is a response to him not getting into the game.

Distributed computing for CFD may have some use. It’s used in the engineering and transportation sector a lot. Anything that “behaves” as a liquid can be modeled, e.g. soil, air and fluids. For example, if a semi manufacturer changes its design, they have to wait a substantial amount of time to compute the affect on drag, mpg, etc. Anyone moving a substance through a conduit/system and trying to optimize its flow or build the system for varied loading also uses this. If Numerai had some success, it wouldn’t be surprising if this did something.

I’m not buying though. KH knows a lot about the space, but his peacocking, arrogance and smugness will crash this plane.

I'm interested and will invest when it launches since I like Richard and think he's smart and I've never bought into a shitcoin ever and can risk it, but I'm just afraid this problem is solved already and you don't need crypto or decentralization for renting computation power

This has already been done with hard drive space, decentralized hard drive space across whoever wants to host it and nobody cares because you can just buy it from cloud companies already and it virtually the same price anyways...

He's smart but that only means he has a lot of brain power, so to speak. He is way too emotional to put it to good use, his only use for his wits is to find excuses for dumb emotional decisions.
Now he's mad that people made money while he lost everything being an emotional child, so he is running a scam ICO for a product that no-one would use. I don't mind if he scams his followers, but literally no-one would but his token from an exchange.

Possible. But this means that he's either a liar, or emotionally unstable.
And he's literally the only btc core public figure. They call Roger Ver emotionally unstable, too, but his crypto stash seems to increase all the time.
Richard's description of IOTA was spot on, though. But lol @ taking overall advise from a crybaby pale kid who talks like a rapper.
