I reverse image searched this conversation he cited the same pdf in a few places.

I downloaded the "A quantum model for the stock market" by Chao Zhang and LuHang. I can't believe I've actually visited that university (Sun-yetsun) so being partial to the Chinese, having taken some math courses and trying to trade by TA, and doing this reverse image search I'm curious. I also think I may have seen the username jonathanflower somewhere, what's the probability of that?

1. It is impossible to construct the Hamiltonian as there are so many factors in crypto market that can affect the price. Hint: there is a reason why they use Chinese yen in paper
2. You can't model infinite high square well either as there is no price limit per day in crypto.
That's just two obvious problems that I found while skimming. The concepts presented in the paper are not difficult, they are all covered in any introductory quantum mechanic course. This paper is more of an academic exercise, not a practical model that can be used. It's likely a project by PhD students overseen by their mentor(s). For /biz/, this is just a clever LARP/troll that has convinced desperate anons to run around dreaming of "breaking money" and consider wasting time learning QM.
