I want to be a creative writer, books & screenplays... I think I have a decent talent for it and have a lot of emotional experience to draw from but making a living as a creative professional aspirant is a pipe dream.

Do you guys have any tips on how to make it in a creative field?

you could do what the rest of my friends do in the creative field.

work for free, live at home, and try to sell herballife pills to friends and family

Have trust fund.
For many years lose more money than you make.
Still, do what you love.
After a decade or two become successful and make a good living.
Bait have-nots into the field thinking they can make it a normal career.

from what I have gathered reading the lives of successful writers not only do they write for 8-12 hours a day they are constantly networking and promoting themselves

well for starters you need an agent in your field, these are the guys that get you paid and make you... it's a business first so treat your intellectual property as your product

- have quality work to show
- pay someone to make a nice website pesenting your work
- shill it on social media, use twitter a lot
- gain a following
- submit a substantial a to an agent
- up play the fact that you ubderstabd the business and show the marketing work you've already put in

a good agent will be head over hills to have someone who understands the business and willing to put in work and if you get a good agent, you will be made

Exactly, the whole talent thing is a normie concept because their minds cannot fathom people dedicating their lives into perfecting a skill and pulling it off
