The story goes like this.

Now they had messengers in that time and no phones, so in order to receive news of their win, a bloke needed to come by on horse and drop the message off. Now this twat, somehow got the news early, by almost 1 whole day, and told the messenger bloke to not say a thing.
“Shhhhhhhhh” he said, “Watch this”.
So the bloke, wonders up to the front of the exchange, looks down, full depressed and everything and starts to sell of his positions in government bonds stock and what not. The other traders around him murmur to themselves,
“Is he crazy?”
“What’s going on”
“This can’t be happening”
“No way the bulls have lost to the bears, fiat currencies have always been inflationary”
Wait maybe not the last quote, but regardless, Rothschild stood at the front and kept selling his bonds.
People are around him are now panicking,
“Noooo, it must be because Britain lost the war to the French, they’ve been fighting for so long! They must have lost! Rothschild knows something we don’t. This man is smart, we should do as he does! SELL”
Then you hear right across the board, a chorus of
“SELL, SELL, SELL, SELL, SELL, SELL, SELL, REEEEE, REEEEEE, REEE, PINK WOJAKS, AHHHHH, THE END IS COMING! 0-7 2 mana, doomsayer”
Everyones selling, Rothschild, is still selling, he’s still selling his bonds.
Then, suddenly, he instantly reverses his stance, buying up all the bonds that every person in the room had sold, and by the day end, the official horseman comes back and roars to the crowd,
“Yeah fuck oath cunt, we knocked back the Frenchies, YEAAHHH MATE!”
But by then it was too late. Rothschild now owned almost all if not most of the government bonds in England, and that’s how he got control and established his banking system all over the world.
