Hey /biz
do you think cryptocurrencies are opening up a way for a world in which there exists no more advertisements? In which every content you could receive, is either free of charge, or has the option to be paid for? It seems that there is currently no way to put such a thing in action. Monthly fees, subscriptions...it's all just a hassle and would be very time consuming to do.
So imagine, you have your wallet, which is already connected to every website you visit and you could in an instant pay for anything you want, or not. It would sometime in the future just be like paying your electricity bill. You pay bit by bit.
Do you think is feasible to do? Do people actually want this? For this, consider a world, in which your desires, your actions wouldn't be influenced anymore by a constant stream of information, which influences you, one way or another. In which you pay, one way or another: Either you deteriorate, your mind gets corrupted and therefore you pay, not with money, but with the abandonment of doing what you think is right and good. Or you pay, by buying precisely the bullshit everyone is trying to shove down your throat.
Obviously those in power to do this, would have to be guided not by money but by a desire to do good.
Do you think it's a step backwards in evolution or that we would not improve ourselves if there were no such things as advertisements?
