You guys don't get it. The fed is literally crashing the dollar with no survivors. You absolutely do not want to price your net worth in USD. You want to price it in gold/bitcoin. The economy is literally going to collapse from either USD hyperinflation. Alan Greenspan, an older chairman of the federal reserve and creator of the current economic bubble we're in went on Bloomberg and basically said how fucked we are. Bitcoin is not the bubble. It is the exit door. It is one of the only ways to secure yourself when the crash happens. Don't be manipulated by the bankers trying to gain control.

It isn't internet monopoly money. Like it or not it has real scarcity. Sure it may be an artificial tool with arbitrary values (21 million btc, 10 minute blocktimes) but that does not make it any less scarce or real. It is simply makes it another tool invented by mankind. Much like the current failing financial system we have. Except this technology is newer, and more resistant to human error.

I already said computational power backs it up. You could not counterfeit a bitcoin if you tried.

As for if it is a commodity, I meant it trades like a commodity due to its scarcity. I guess I would classify it as a currency that trades like a commodity. But you're right it is artificial as in it is man made. However that doesn't mean it is worthless. It has a multi billion dollar distributed computational network to back it up. Banks aren't gonna let fiat go into hyperinflation mode. It's their baby and they're gonna drain the other markets such as bonds get fucked. Fiat may take a dive but it's probably the best hedge for now. Howeber if it as developrd by the NSA and sha256 had a secret backdoor satoshi would not have used double sha256 hashes and ripemd. He would have stuck to just sha256. I’m not convinced that bitcoin is an inside spook job. Anti gov types have been trying to create a decentralized “currency, means of exchange, w/e” since the early days of the internet.
Btc is more or less the culmination of that, and the movement was revived in the wake of ‘08. I have no doubt that (((they))) have plans for a one world currency, but I don’t think Btc is it. I believe they were aware of it, likely were observing it closely to see how it would play out, allowed it to become more mainstream via the media, and now they are actively trying to control it. They quietly accumulated sub 5k, then unloaded their bags all the way to 20k once enough normies were buying in. Now they’ve shorted the market and are using futures cash to buy as much of the supply as they can. It’s all they know, moving money from the many to the few. From weak hands to strong.
