TECHNICAL ANALYSIS
Technical Analysis (TA) originated in Japan in the 1600s and has been in use for over 400 years. Homna was one of the originators of TA and became known as "The God of the Markets" due to successful application of TA to the rice markets at that time. TA eventually made its way to the U.S. in the 1970s. TA still works due to the consistency of human emotion.

Fellow /biz/nessmen, what indicators do you use for your horosco-, sorry, I mean Technical Analysis?

I've been mostly using:
RSI/Stochastic/both, MACD, 3 Moving Averages, Bollinger bands, and my favorite Ichimoku Clouds. Fib/Fib trend
Things I'm trying to learn:
Volume profile, supperguppy, gertley patterns

Personally, I like to look at the daily chart and work my way down with each indicator, then decide what specific time period I want to do my trade.

Post what you like to use, your strategy, any tips, etc.
Most importantly, post what works for you.

I'm studying Bollinger Bands now. I was using RSI and MACD before. Still new to this.

I wish neurobot had historical data, not trying to take a million screenshots

I found neurobot not to be very accurate, for example it always seems to push forward any major price hikes or drops

Don't care if you call me a shill, this discord has a guy that used to work in stocks for years and he recently retired, now he does TA for crypto. He's actually good and does shit in real time on voice chat answering requests every night.

It convinced me TA isn't just tea leaf reading.

Have you ever waited for a double top that never came?

Why do they happen sometimes and not others?

Just look at the graph in different time frames and don't pretend to be retarded.
A fourth grader could have seen that btc bubble.

If a stock falls and there is no one to see it, did it really lose value?

TA is load of crap. Read all the patterns you want, if there's a huge scandal or controversy, or simply defamatory news about whatever coin, it's gonna go down. It's a hype rollercoaster.

I just wish someone told me about Bollinger Bands sooner.

They work so well.

Since I'm still wagecucking, I use a 4h chart and swing trade using Bollinger Bands and %b. I only make a trade every 2 days or so, and it keeps stress low, because my entries and exits are relatively safe, and I don't have to watch the charts like a hawk until price gets close to the top or bottom band which takes a few days per cycle.

I love Bollinger Bands.

One of the underlying assumptions of TA is that the security's intrinsic value has already been factored in, all we are simply trying to do is gauge patterns that can be used as a basis for investment decisions. TA is not the end-all be-all solution, but rather serves as a useful supplementary tool for making wise investment decisions.

eur/usd is technically testing its multi-year resistance and stopped directly at 125. and down trend likely starting at 125-126. big short by ta. should go under parity

same, I'm using the hourly charts and taking 1-3% per trade 1-3x a day

haven't failed me in like 2 weeks straight. though I panicked a few times thinking I bought too early.

bollinger bands strategies can easily be backtested. it's nothing special, you are just shorting overbought condition and vice versa like many similar indicator strategies such as basic rsi

Thanks for the tip anon, I hadn't looked into BB's heavily but it seems this might be a good middle ground for me since I fail at day trading
