Dear /biz/,

3 years ago I started my first job. A sales rep for a flour mill.

I make $5/hr. $200 a week.

I get paid a commission of 0.5% of the sale price.
Last year's turnover was over $1 million.

That means my total commission for a year was just over $5k.
I have asked for a higher percentage but my manager says there are not enough profit margins to support even 1% commission.

Any advice?

Is this some kind of half-assed attempt at trolling or are you clinically retarded?

What kind of advice are you expecting to get here posting this shit?

I don't understand how that's a thing.

Also, get a new job. He's paying you minimum wage, even with that $5k, and making you work 10x harder for it than the guy leaning on the grill at McD's.

you bring in 1 mil to the company and they pay you 15k a year, leave

I take it you're not in the US.

$5/hr is practically illegal in the States.

Where do you come from ?

You should get a new job. You could sell cell phones at Verizon and live like a king compared to what you're making now.
