Some exchanges allow you to buy limited amounts without hard verification. Kraken is one of them, although it depends on your country and/or state.

They may not be too happy if the passport doesn't match where you currently live, but you might get away with it if you explain your case to the exchange.

Coinbase, Kraken, and most other American/European exchanges are very trustworthy. Chink exchanges like Kucoin are a bit dodgier, but it's not like you need them for anything except altcoin trading and you can do all of that entirely in crypto.

I don't think there's anything wrong with living with your parents, or even having them help you. Key word is "help" not "let you gamble in the basement while they completely support you".

I'm also into crypto, but no matter how much "money" you make, if you lack useful skills, you won't make it far. Why not learn in depth how blockchains work and contribute to the crypto world? Or literally anything else of value. I think it's because actually making a real effort on anything is too much for most people here to handle.

You bring a good point with automation, and I actually work in a field that's driving that forward. I dream of a future where working a souless job isn't necessary. I worry about the consequences though, having nothing useful to do isn't a good thing for your mental health.

Should I stop putting money into my 401k and Roth IRA? I have a $5k emergency fund (easily 3 months of living/bills paying for me) but I want to be a risk taker and throw everything else into crypto. I just get the feeling 401ks and Roth accounts are Jewish schemes and the money will be stolen from me by the time I'm ready to retire.
After taxes, bills, insurance and necessities like food I usually come home with around $1500 leftover a month. That usually goes to either savings, my Roth or my 401k but I have enough savings for an emergency fund and I am skeptical of the aforementioned investment vehicles.
