i agree but people like you dont realise one thing: this will not be nice! transition to a new leading currency will most likely be very very painful as people are developing many different things specifically for bitcoin, when bitcoin fall, investors will loose interest in building infrastructure (like atm or banking systems) for another coin that might be dead again in a couple of years. so bitcoin will go, cryptocurrencies will stay but the market will most likely very very different from todays and you wont be able to make such money as you are now

just in case you brainlets dont realize, Lightning Network is literally right around the corner. just saw some shit posted yesterday about MAST which tbqh I dont fully understand but I know it is a step forwards towards LN.
I dont care about your politics and beliefs about centralization or whatever. LN being implemented is extremely bullish for bitcoin. We are going to see a mass exodus from all altcoins that only do "bitcoin but faster". This includes LTC and BCH. Maybe even XRB but not sure about that since it actually has *free* transactions which is kind of absurd.

Your statement might be true on a long enough timeline once we have quantum computing or whatever, but for the current state of crypto, bitcoin is here. to. stay.
Its the on ramp for all new users. its the reserve currency for the vast majority of exchanges. it is being adopted by wall street with new proposals for ETFs going to the SEC just recently. it is digital gold and you would be a fool to think its going to be LESS valuable in the near future as it gains more hype and real world exposure this year than it ever has had before.

btc is pretty much dead. lightning is a meme and even when it is implemented it sucks. Smart contracts are the only things that matter and nobody will ethereum so fast with it.

Cryptocurrencies as we know them are not to stay. But a similar but more advanced version probably will be.

The question is does BTC adapt.

Personally I hope we keep BTC as status quo for another year or 2 (so I can keep getting rich off crypto).

Then the unsustainable system blows up.

From the ashes only coins with real use cases rise up.
