People don't care about this, for the same reason nobody but a bunch of nerds cares about ETH classic and Bcash. "Pure" or "This is what it should be" versions of a coin are seen more as lazy copypastas than the definitive version of a coin.
For example ZCL has always been better than ZCash, but people kept mining ZCash anyway even though they pay a shitload of fees.
