I went through the code of the Bitcoin source codeपरी and I have to say its bad, like REALLY bad.

The whole code structure is pure shit and full of unnecessary comments.

Entirely the opposite.

Those 2 characteristics are distinct. Working or not regards the machine, comments are made for yourself and other developers. You might need to fix a bug or add an intermediate step or adapt a function, and in that situation you want to have an outline of what it's doing. The comments aren't there to fix bugs, they're there to let you know what it's doing so you can fix the bugs.
