I went twice in the last two months. First time I went with $100 and gambled for seriously 7-8 hours while getting shitfaced at the bar. Eventually ran up a $80 tab and finally lost my money and had my wife come pick me up. She hates casinos but I told her it was only $100 but she was pissed.

They sent me $25 free play so I went again about 3 weeks ago with $150 this time and proceeded to lose it after about one hour. I was also drinking. I withdrew $250 more and gambled it away while running my bar tab/food to about $100. My wife picked me up and wouldn’t talk to me and made me sleep out on the couch. I didn’t even tell her about the $250 withdrawal. She said she doesn’t plan on doing this again and was seriously mad at me. if you gamble exclusively on one machine, investing the same amount every day you are going to have a bad time.
I don't think there is much risk if you, within your budget, occasionally go and drop $50 on slots. Just don't stick around if you win.

Those boomers lose because they have a tendency to not value winnings as real money and then just gamble all of that.

The other mistake is to not have a limit, if you go in with a commitment to only spend $50 you need to stick with that. Don't get cheeky and think that the machine was just heating up so another $50 can't hurt.
