If you have eth om coinbase you can just send it from there to your metamask or whatever wallet on the base network. it asks you, when sending to a wallet, if you want to send to the base network. Already tested it and it showed up in my metamask when I switched to the base network. So you don't have to use the bridge. Even though that's easy too.

From what I understand, people in the US can't send ETH in their Coinbase account into Base ETH. So people in the US have to use the bridge, there is no other way.

Option 1 is to actually use their bridge to bridge the eth from the Eth network to the Base network

>send the eth to your metamask
>connect your metamask to their bridge
>bridge over

>(add base network to metamask btw) switch to base network on metamask and you have your eth on base.

Option 2 (retard-proof)
>buy eth on coinbase
>go to my assets>ethereum>primary balance>send
>put the address to your metamask wallet
>click the option that says base or some shit
>coinbase will just send you base eth to your wallet so you can just switch to the bad network and you'll get it
