Just because my parents support my wealth building endeavors doesn't mean it happens automatically without any effort. I honestly don't know how you're supposed to do it without help from family. The only option in that case is to get an exceptionally high paying job such that you have a significant amount of money left over for investing regardless of living costs.

I live with my dad... he has his own crypto portfolio worth 10+ BTC and we frequently bounce off each other for investment advice. He's a boomer so he comes to me whenever he needs help setting up a wallet or mining software for new coins he's found. I dunno what to say to you because our circumstances are so different. But if I was in your situation, about to graduate college with $50k in my pocket, living with a family who didn't support me and wanted to take my money, I would just leave asap and never look back. Hopefully you're majoring in a decent subject so that you'll be able to get a good career and sustain yourself without any outside help.

In the future, hide anything you buy/make that you can't justify with what you let others know about your financial situation. Although, since it sounds like you'll be moving out soon, the better advice would be to simply not associate with people who would start questioning you about your finances and asking you for money when they find out you have more than they thought. People are fucking vultures, and worse yet, gossip queens, keep your finances as low profile as you can and your social circle as tight as possible and you won't have to have too many uncomfortable conversations about your money with people looking for you to pay them.
