My insane theory is that where the long term price trend of bitcoin is concerned, nothing matters.
The price may be temporarily pumped by willy bots or stumped by unforeseeable exchange bankruptcies, but it'll always return to the mean. And that mean is a freakish exponential curve of some sort.

No, Bitcoin didn't hit 100k last cycle because exchanges such as FTX shorted the top with leverage. This was all revealed in the SBF lawsuit.

NFTs are the biggest scapegoat and people use them as a strawman argument when the market goes down. If you don't like them, ignore them. The vast majority of crypto traders and investors have nothing to do with NFTs and are unaffected by them.
