amd's gaming sector revenue was 6.2b and their data center revenue was 6.5b. their data center revenue includes sales of their cpus so lets cut that in half to 3.25b. amd's total revenue was 22.7b. amd has a market cap of 287b. nvidia had total revenues of 270b. nvidia has 2.49b shares.

6.20b+3.25b = 9.45b in gpu revenue amd
9.45b/22.7b = 42.6% of amds value from gpus
287b*42.6% = 119b value of amds gpus business
27.0b/9.45b = 2.86 ratio between size of nvidia/amd gpu business
119b*2.86 = 340b value nvidia
340b/2.49b = $137/share nvidia stock

I suppose there is some extra value from being a market leader. This is also a revenue based valuation because all of their products have different profit margins which makes them harder to compare. There is also the chance that amd is undervalued. All things considered nvidia is selling at least double of what it should without the cult built around it. as another note nvidia's p/e is 222. they aren't a start up so I don't understand what could justify that price other than popularity. that's not to say nvidia is a bad company.
