No, the maket crashed. Lithium prices plummeted and that's putting mines and diggers out of business. Once they're gone, we'll have another squeeze of lithium supply which further throttles EV adoption.
If anything, the fallout of the EV maket crash means traditional players like Ford can catch up now. Tesla can't market to normies and they refuse to drive Teslas (see Hertz liquidating its fleet due to low demand): Big Auto can swoop on those struggling EV starups and instantly erode Tesla's marketshare.
The only advantage I see with Nvidia in this case is AI is completely new and not competing with something currenty existing, unlike EVs competing with petrol cars.

They've had a decade, billions of dollars, and a dozen direct lines to DC. But that hasn't helped any of them catch up to Tesla because, relatively speaking, they're morons.

I mean more recently., the past year or two. You're right they've had their turnaround artist CEO do his turnaround over the past decade, but looking forward how will they compete? With cloud, AI, licensing, that kind of stuff.
