2. When buying back, if you wait too long, you will get outpriced. Pic related. In 2022 people were expecting the market to go much lower. Those who didn't buy shares at that time lost money.
Same happened in 2020. People expected market to tank even deeper, not knowing about Fed intervention. In theory it's simple "just sell at the top and buy when it hits bottom". But in practice you don't know when the bottom is, and I've seen many examples of people getting rekt by that over the years.

Can one of you stock market professionals explain to me why these single stock leveraged ETFs exist when most retail brokers offer 4x intra-day leverage? Margin available for leveraged ETFs scales to the leverage so you can't trade more notional with them. And the underlying stocks have tighter spreads than the ETFs so that can't be it.
