It honestly depends. Forex, as an asset class, has no value. The rates are set by big banks. All forex rates are manipulated to some degree, and where the most concentration of longs or shorts are, is where the banks will apply stoploss hunting. The worst pairs are USD pairs and especially the EURUSD. Seriously check out this guy's video on the topic

Unless you are George Soros tier, long term investing is going to be hard (but even then, it wouldn't hurt to diversify a few dollars into other currencies to be safe over a long time horizon). Most successful forex traders do trend trading on the daily charts, maybe 4h and maybe weekly. Reversal (momentum) trading is a fool's game, and because it has no intrinsic value, overbought/oversold doesn't exist either. But you combine a few indicators that cover your entry, exit, confirmation, volume, and baseline and it's pretty safe

Besides that, you have to be able to manage your risk. You avoid news days like FOMC meetings with USD pairs, you only lose 2% per bad trade at worst due to tight stops (and even less with a good exit indicator), that kind of shit. I love TA autism

Compare that with PMs, there's about 7 billion people, 6 billion oz of gold and 3.5 billion oz of silver, which means the average person should own at least 0.86oz gold and 0.5oz silver. If you have more than that amount, you're technically wealthier than average and if all mining stopped, that means you have the wealth that other people would have. If you use this same metric (assuming BTC remains the standard), there's at best 21m coins so about 0.03 BTC/person.

Orders are filled on a "best effort" basis. Among other things, they'll prefer filling orders for the same price based on timestamps and probably prioritize standard lot sizes (100). I don't know how broker/dealer backends work.
But in any case, if the system is overwhelmed, yes, it can move well past your stoploss. It's mostly apparently on low volume, high volatility assets, like pennyshit or OTC/PINX tickers, but can happen on extreme shitcoins and cfds as well. Market orders are also dangerous for this reason; in particular, I don't mind using market buy/sell to enter a trade during normal hours, but I would never rely on one for exiting a position

forex is hard. I'm not going to pretend to fathom it but you cant just look at gdp and inflation and other common metrics. Stuff like big mac index and purchasing power are usually not accounted for. GDP is a better metric of the labour produced by either 1 hour of minimum wage or labour produced to get an apple from seed->store->your hands (and every step between that I skipped)
To many's perspective, China may have had a better currency than the US for years now because of how much further less CNY takes you
Regional pricing of steam prices and phone in app purchase conversions could probably give better gdp estimates when extrapolated from rather than whatever jew phyics the feds are doing
