I am 21 and have 2 years of experience on this field. I like accounting but I'd like to hear from other people who have worked on this field if the room for growing is big and if there are opportunities for people with experience in the area.

Many people think that professions around accounting are just bookeeping and easy-to-automate ones... auditing relies a lot on skills that mostly humans can have.... such as subjective thinking and a mors flexible way to analyze things... walkthrough meetings can be pretty complex and each process may be different and unique, customer relationship is also needed. I can say that AI has made our jobs a lot easier.

CPA here. Internal audit is very comfy. You don't have to deal with month end close or public accounting wagie torture.
