Housing in particular is an obvious problem. Having a house puts you ahead of most of your cohort by a long shot. Gold and silver are also good bets I think. People that have never tapped trees don't understand how expensive and slow it is to tap and refine syrup and why its so expensive. Putting oils, artificial flavour, and sugar together is WAY easier which is why there is so much fake stuff out there.

Any organic substance will likely corrode silver or copper over time. They don't usually produce an attractive tone though. If you want rainbow toning you clean the coin with acetone or alcohol to remove organic substances and then heat it until it gets pretty rainbow colors on it.

I don't own much crypto less than 50 bitcoins and 300 ETH but I will say that when you trade your fiat for crypto the stacks of crypto get higher and higher but the weight stays the same. That's important when the shtf I doubt you guys and transgenders could carry even 300 ounces of metal. My 300 ETH is easy to carry even with staking as it grows

I am somewhat against cleaning coins but have tried it on coins i was willing to experiment on; there was an anon here wanting to clean his coins, meguiars 105 cutting compoung and a micro fiber cloth give things a decent shine, though nicks and dents will seem to pop out to the eye more, you'll be able to feel the point where it gets almost mirror like.
