Bros why am I so lazy? I am currently working on a book project that I'm planning to sell. The conceptual part, plotting and planning phase is really exciting and easy to work out but when it comes to executing the ideas I behave like a pre-schooler that doesn't want to do his homework. How can I overcome this … whatever it is? I'm halfway through with the book but I can't motivate myself to finish it omg.

Pick a time each day when you will write. It doesnt matter if its good or bad if you feel like it or dont you sit down at that same time each day and write. Dont expect perfection, you may even hate what you write but the goal is to get something down on the page. You can always revise later.

Write. You just wrote a fucking paragraph so dont say its that you dont feel like writing. That couldve gone in your book.

Honestly as an aspiring artist I tell you that the first thing you have to overcome is the lack of inspiration and creativity. There is no such thing as motivation, at least not permanent, it is not an endless source that at some point you will be able to control and it will never leave you. The only thing that will lead you to success is a consistent routine, write, just write and at most later you can edit it but you will have something done. Then you can develop strategies, in my case I am very interested in logical AI and what TAU is doing to basically revolutionize programming and what I do is limit what I read and watch about it in my free time and I set small goals like "if I draw 1 hour straight I will watch a video that interests me" and that makes it easier for me. You can do it brother, trust in yourself.
