I used to use alltheweb and alta vista a lot. When I first started using Google, it was the greatest thing ever. Now I use Google, get pissed off, and switch to my Yandex tab just to find slightly relevant results. I printed stuff out back in the day because I figured access to that sort of information wouldn't be available forever. I was correct. The era of truly free information was fairly brief in retrospect.
