Should I just put my retirement into the S and P 500? I'm 27 and it's only 17k because I only do the match

NASDAQ will give you the same price movement but higher returns.

you probably have limited options. if it has a low expense ratio then yes.

17k in sp500 is not gonna do much for you

It's better than buying fixed income products at his age. Go for it OP.

You could also just take it out retirement funds, pay the exorbitant tax rate and fees for removing funds from a 401k/IRA, and invest in Bitcoin if you think the difference will make up for it.

Not at these levels
were at all time high levels of PE ratio for the S&P and stocks

The only answer to the question is how long will the American empire last for because you're betting on the USA

Also I just started making 137k(before taxes) at the end of last year should I switch to traditional from Roth?

That’s what I have done my whole life. Started at 5 percent in traditional 401k with 5 percent match 6-7 years ago. I have since raised it to 10 percent during the last bear market after the covid boom and switched to Roth. Im 32 with 70k in it right now.

If I stop right now by the time I’m 62 I will have 750k assuming 8 percent growth. That’s if I quit and never think about retirement again

Youre betting on inflation?
Inflation isnt good for the stock market, look at the 1970s

mid 30s, sp500 is all ive ever owned in my 401k. ive averaged putting about 1000 a month in and have 600k. so ive put in about 150 and made 450 on returns.

if i get the same returns for another 30 years ill have an inflation adjusted 10 million dollars. let's hope that's what happens and society doesnt fucking collapse. with my luck it's going to be total societal collapse.

>> No.57607303

I'm not better on inflation, I don't see these prices crashing because the dollar is worth significantly less now

Nah, Id say half of the biggest dividend funds are less in a bubble and will get you better returns

For non-crypto I use Lightyear for the lowest fees (only for curreny exchange)
and I spread between €IDVY (euro high dividend) and £SEDY (emerging dividends)

>> No.57610196

thats -60% since 2008 highs

and -25 precovid prices
who the fuck wants to hold that? you lost on your principal, you are getting dividends over less money.
