You don't need a million to buy one. Wait for DOGE to dump to .03 and buy $3K worth. Tesla will announce they are accepting DOGE payments for cybertrucks and offer a substantial discount for paying with DOGE. Then the price will explode and you can just give them your $3K worth of DOGE for the best model.

sucks pretty bad, in the bible belt at least. You can only sell yourself the "it's healthy to take a break" cope so many times while you pace around at shit holes charging for a half hour twice as frequently as you'd fill up for gas

the only cool thing about the cybertruck is that is has bulletproof doors.
i'd rather spend just a little more on a rezvani vengeance, which is not only bulletproof, but also blast proof, has electrified door handles, shoots pepper spray, and can deploy a smoke screen.

you get a bit over 200 miles for 15-30 minutes of charge. A fill up takes 3-5 minutes for 400-600 miles of range. it's a massive waste of time considering you go ~60mph and must charge every 3 hrs meaning you spend up to 15% of your trip literally sitting at a charger. If I could go back I'd get a modern phev without question

>> No.57600961

>>57600924
There's no denying that gas vehicles are better for road trips. But I don't think the time "wasted" on charging is that big of a deal. I just throw on Netflix or play a game while waiting. Then it's time to hit the road again before you know it.

>> No.57600968

>>57596681
Hmm, so they cost about AU$150k Australian but you can get a cheap car in Australia for $20k, so that's an extra $130k with no advantage to me, basically $130k to look cool. If I cross $1M then spending 13% of my net worth to look cool is probably not something I would do. But I would need to know my annual income in this scenario, not merely my net worth. If were able to save $1M per year out of my income after taxes and expenses, then spending 13% of that on looking cool would be much more reasonable. Of course, assume it retains resale value, so if I sell it in a couple of years I could probably get at least half back and it becomes more reasonable, depending on the income.

they're shit, imagine something goes wrong, and the tablet wont open the door, and you're locked into a steel can, with a 1T lithium battery under it... and the jaws of life can't get you out because is made of steel, instead of the soft flexible shit most cars are made of. You will die in that car.

oh and even if you live, imagine trying to bang a dent out of steel. you'll have to replace it for fuck tons of money. its range is also shit... wait until you have to replace the battery..

They are a bigger flex than a lot of sports cars, but no. I have no interest in one and I’m already over $1m liquid. A Porsche, a Maserati, whatever…even a Ferrari, they’re all sort of plausibly deniable flexes. That thing’s advertisement could legitimately just be the interview where Elon Musk says “you think you can blackmail me with money? go fuck yourself.” It’s an obnoxiously conspicuous display of wealth bordering on the outright antagonistic.
