The moral decay of America can be summed up with one example. The doughnut and the bakers dozen.

In the 50s there were many friendly doughnut stores with proud names like Tom’s doughnuts or Jim’s doughnuts. You would go in an order a dozen and they would throw in a 13th for tradition. The bakers dozens. As they retired and their children did not take the wheel they sold their doughnut stores to a new breed, the Asians.

Wanting the American dream they renamed Tom’s and Jim’s to “Star doughnuts” or “Ace doughnuts”. They did not understand tradition and the idea of a free 13th doughnut disappeared completely. We went from a high trust society to a low doughnut society. America stood on as the doughnut foundation crumbled.

Modern day many of the doughnut stores have closed. They are still there but a new breed of doughnut has taken over. Dunkin’ doughnut and krispy kream rule with an iron fist wrapped in surgery mass produced velvet. A brown underclass of Mexicans staffs them and feeds you slop that is a cheap imitation of the past.

The doughnut rolls on but for how much longer? Another doughnut hole in the heart of America and it might be done for.

In the future I see doughnut crumbling to Pan Dulce, a Mexican snack with the greatness of America glazed away.

It is crazy I was just talking about something similar a couple days ago. Literally like 20 years ago when I was a kid the donut place I would go to with my dad did the 13th donut. Now that same place is ran by Asians and they don't do it anymore. So yeah it is pretty sad. Pan Dulce is good though bro.

i remember about 20 years ago (well maybe now 22-23 or so) krispy kreme would give a free donut while you were waiting. They gave a free glazed donut to each person in the line, children, adults, etc. saw them being made right there. not sure if they do that anymore because I haven't been inside a krispy kreme in a long time. this was the krispy kreme in gardena. I suppose that was the "13th" donut. Doubt they do this anymore with a quick search on google.
Saw photos of the Gardena Krispy Kreme recently and there was not one single white person in there.

remember donuts dont have a long shelf life, so donut vendors need a way to occasionally get rid of old stock. what a better way then to throw in a stale donut everyonce in awhile. hence the bakers dozen
