If the government made it illegal to sell crypto and mandatory to buy crypto. Wouldn’t we all just be billionaires ? Seems that easy. Just let people sell in small amounts for basic necessities. And if you wanna buy a home you put the crypto up as collateral and it slowly drains over time. Now poor people don’t exist. I just solved economics holy fuck.

>> No.57509224

Exactly anon. Crypto has no real value backing it up. That's what differentiates it from the US Dollar. People will tell you the Dollar is fiat but it's not 100% true - it's actually backed by guns and the strength of our military. The ONLY way for any type of crypto to take off and actually have real value would be for it to be backed by our government.

Except that a "store of value" it's something that people collectively decide, not governments. What governments do is inserting themselves inside economical mechanisms to extract value.

Some faggot having MUH GUNS doesn't really change the nature of something, if you invest into something that is a terrible choice or policy it's not guaranteed that you won't lose money, or wealth, or power. You're just forced to do dumb shit.

And you are right here. Stocks are backed by the government yet not all of them take off. A lot tank actually. BUT the difference here is that stocks for a good company are not only backed by the guy with the gun but ALSO have intrinsic value in that a good company brings in returns and actually produces something.

Crypto is neither backed by the guy with the gun nor is it intrinsically value. Just ownership of a string of characters.

ok, if a state is like a bowl where you can make the dough as long you pay the fees you can make any bread you want. If there's a label on it regulating what kind of dough you can make they're not necessarily better or even possible recipes.

Crypto making the bowl useless doesn't make its bread less valuable.

I explained to you how the dollar has value (because of being backed by the military). I explained to you how stocks have value (because the companies are actually producing value + this system is backed by the dollar / our military).

You on the other hand have not proven WHY crypto has value. There is nothing backing it up other than a fad where a small group of people say so.

And i kindly explained how being a faggot pointing a gun is a stupid argument when related to "value". One thing is protecting private property that allows a marketplace to flourish, and one thing is offering a shit service with dumb policies (something that government usually do).

The reasoning you laid out is "because miners and """people""" said so". That SAME argument applies to Tulip fever, Pokemon cards, and Beanie Babies. There is NO difference between these and crypto.

The way i laid out my argument is similar to yours, i was hoping for you to grasp it better in this way because you're a mongoloid whose reasoning is as simple as "shit have value because m-m-muh military and gunz", as if a state can bomb its own population and fuck up its own infrastructure without 0 losses and becoming vulnerable to external and internal threats.
