Who knows? Morgan Dollars have exploded in value in recent years, especially rainbow toned ones. Libertads and Engelhards were once considered "junk" and sold for spot, now they have a huge premium. It's impossible to predict what will have the best returns going forward, though, and that's probably the wrong reason to be buying coins anyways.

You need to make a mental division between what you're stacking for them and your own personal preferences. Stack raw weight at the cheapest price possible of both silver and gold for your kids and stack your favorites for yourself. If you have good taste or luck out, they might inherit something that significantly gained value.

Modern counterfeiting techniques allow for some fakes to be fairly accurate in terms of both weight and diameter, so I doubt the discrepancy is due to them trying to get the weight right as the other anon had suggested.
Another reason could be because they just looked at the diameter of a larger 1oz coin like the silver eagle and assumed wieners were the same size. That would also explain why the edges are milled instead of smooth.

What I do is then tag the thread with some nonsense word I'll remember.

perhaps "codswallop," or "slumgullion."
Then when I want to find the pics I posted here I just search the archive for the word, and wallah! I have all my pics in one place. No need to worry about losing them on a messy computer or a crashed hard drive.

the guy that caused the start of /cmmg/ hated bayhorse discussion. So he forced us to start a new thread for it to get it out of /pmg/
But then he left /pmg/ and spent all his time trolling the new thread he had created with his bitching.
Over time he joined the people he was complaining about, and became the king of the thread he started. It's pretty much his thread.

we can do the same with copper and coins, but I suspect you're just like him. You don't care about keeping /pmg/ pure and on-topic, you only care about trolling people you think are beneath you. So you'd probably leave /pmg/ to go troll the new thread if we made one. And eventually you'd be the king of the new thread and everyone in /pmg/ would be moderately pleased that you're gone.

I'm just curious how you think it would go? I expect you don't want people to leave /pmg/, you just want to argue with them and divide and conquer the thread. Which is fun to watch, but ultimately pointless because they're not going away and apparently you aren't either.
