OOF! The USD just took a hit to its status as the world's reserve currency.

https://watcher.guru/news/brics-uae-pays-china-new-digital-dirham-ditches-us-dollar

>BRICS members UAE and China settled a cross-border transaction on Monday using the new Digital Dirham sidelining the US dollar. This is the first-ever transaction made directly to China from the UAE using the new mode of payment with the Digital Dirham. The direct trade settlement was initiated by the UAE through the ‘M Bridge’ platform making ways for BRICS to end reliance on the US dollar through digital methods.

>The UAE Central Bank initiated the Digital Dirham payment to China amounting to Dh500 million, which is equivalent to $136 million. Shaikh Mansour conducted the historic transaction directly to China showcasing the ‘M Bridge’ payment platform.

>The live trade settlement was also attended by the UAE’s Central Bank officials and graduating students comprising 1,056 Emiratis. The development indicates that the UAE is ushering in a new era of digital payments.

OPEC will run out of oil and the US will still have some and that will be the end of that game. Most middle eastern oil has already been converted to dollars. Deciding to switch currencies 5 minutes before they run out isn't going to do much for them.

Now imagine a middle east with no oil to sell... they won't matter in the slightest after that happens. They'll be down there with african and south american nations on the list of places nobody ever thinks about.

Makes sense desu. /pmg/ is founded on a pearl-clutching hysterical fear over the federal government and global societal collapse that only stacking can save them from. With the moderation having recently range banned a number of trolls, the threads have slowed and the stackers left behind were without their boogeymen to torment and validate why they stake (because the trolls must be feds, posting here in a desperate final death throw before the collapse!). So what must be done in their absense? Well, a new enemy must be made of course! Beautiful ring btw.

Who knows? Morgan Dollars have exploded in value in recent years, especially rainbow toned ones. Libertads and Engelhards were once considered "junk" and sold for spot, now they have a huge premium. It's impossible to predict what will have the best returns going forward, though, and that's probably the wrong reason to be buying coins anyways.

You need to make a mental division between what you're stacking for them and your own personal preferences. Stack raw weight at the cheapest price possible of both silver and gold for your kids and stack your favorites for yourself. If you have good taste or luck out, they might inherit something that significantly gained value.

Also, stack other shit for them, too. Buy land and stocks and houses and guns and have it ready for them so they don't have to waste their 20s slaving away for it like I have to.

I wanted to see what the fabled Chinese fakes you’re supposedly are always getting really are about.
At first sight, from afar, they seem really good. I’d guess for a coin you don’t know at a flea market or something it could work. But if you have time and some knowledge about your coin, those are really obvious

What climate or USDA growing region (ie "5A") are you in? Root veggies like potatoes are good, leafy greens like spinach and leaf lettuce are fast and easy, and if the climate is suitable then squash as >>57475401 suggested is a valuable long-storage fresh food if times get tough. Things like Butternut squash are pretty tasty and nutritious and can be stored in a root cellar whole without refrigeration or any special preparation for over 3 years, it's almost unbelievable but they can indeed stay fresh and "alive" for far longer than anything else I'm aware of so if SHTF they'll be a godsend.

>> No.57478542

>how do you fuck up the sizes that much?
Modern counterfeiting techniques allow for some fakes to be fairly accurate in terms of both weight and diameter, so I doubt the discrepancy is due to them trying to get the weight right as the other anon had suggested.
Another reason could be because they just looked at the diameter of a larger 1oz coin like the silver eagle and assumed wieners were the same size. That would also explain why the edges are milled instead of smooth.

That being said, they probably make way less counterfeits of the wiener than the fat man so it may be a case where it's much cheaper to fake the latter than the former.

>> No.57480423

>>57480281
Yeah, they make several grades of fake. Some of them are extremely good fakes and cost a lot of money. Most of them are cheap and pretty bad. We see more of the cheap, bad fakes in the US because people continue to buy them. But if consumers wised up to that game we'd see a lot more of the expensive, convincing fakes. I don't expect that to happen though. boomers in the US are dumb as bricks and got money begging to be spent on crap.

Higher yes, but I can sell 1oz of silver much easier than 1oz of gold. When both gold and silver moon, do you think people will drop their life savings for 1 oz of gold, or 10 oz of silver for the same price? I have lots of PMs but still never had enough to get a oz of gold at a time, but 1kg bars of shiny are easy for a monthly purchase. Also more satisfying to have heavy stuff.

In the end i like both, but see more upside to silver as batteries, solar panels, electronics all need and will use more silver in industry. I don't care about selling silver to banks, traders, coins shops, I'm preparing to sell them directly to manufactures and bypassing the middle man. Industrial precious metals are quite precious indeed.

It all depends on how fast inflation goes up, when Biden attackers IRAN and they do a cyber attack and take our or grid or the SNAP/foodstamp system.

We are fortunate to have at least a year more to keep stacking. Same with crypto, keep stacking and hold on, but sell after some good gains and go into precious metals.

Also got a Morgan dollar that was HUGELY underpriced, it has a NICE prooflike obverse and was very obviously undergraded by ANACs, the guy's wife was the one that thought it was a regular MS-62 and so she marked it $125. Morgan Dollars have grown on me. You've got to watch out though. Here's a fake 'silver nickel' one I got just for fun off Amazon. I don't think it contains any silver, although it does chime to some extent, but I also have another Morgan that is a straight Chinese fake I accidentally bought off of eBay. I don't remember how much I paid for it sub 30 dollars, but that's about the cheapest you'll find a real Morgan dollar for at this point, 30 minimum. No problem! Haven't been here in a while, took a long break because nothing new was really happening and I can't have too many obsessions going at once. Have had a hobby general tab open pretty much every day for the past year and a half, that's already enough. Kind of just wanted to check in after I went to the coin show, still buying silver just not as often as I'd like. might come back here more regularly again after a little while, If I can get a better cashflow and start really slurping I'll probably be back here more frequently.

LMAO I love this arrogant authoritarian boomer ego bullshit.
As if this faggot represents an anonymous Mongolian basket weaving forum where 3 people post pics of PMs and the rest whine.
And as if he's going to "investigate" if a famous YouTuber is posting here on /pmg/ by asking him directly.

This is honestly the most cringe shit I've encountered since I was in grade school.

Report this D&C shill. I’ve already proven that he’s schizo and lying.
What kind of faggot takes screenshots of a YouTube channel and then smugly posts it here as if he’s done something amazing? Literal subhuman.

Whats telling is that he never, ever argues against the accusation of being a shill; he always deflects like a woman and tries to bring up a new angle of attack. Not subtle at all.

What I do is then tag the thread with some nonsense word I'll remember.

perhaps "codswallop," or "slumgullion."
Then when I want to find the pics I posted here I just search the archive for the word, and wallah! I have all my pics in one place. No need to worry about losing them on a messy computer or a crashed hard drive.

You want to divide the group by chasing numismatic discussion out of the thread.

Ignoring all the coins and numismatic shit (willy wonka?) you post,

and the fact that this is the very definition of D&C shilling,

I don't think it's a terrible idea. I just wonder if you'd post in the new coin thread.

hopefully.

but in all seriousness the things you complain about have always been contentious on /pmg/
>base metal stacking
>numismashit
>mining stocks
We actually made a new thread to get mining stock discussion out of the way. So that's taken care of.

but the numismatics and base metals seem to really irritate you and I'm wondering if in all your D&C wisdom you think we should start a new thread for it. Also since you have a fabulous coin collection, if you'd post in a numismashit general. Assuming the powers that be allowed it.

>> No.57483585

>>57483480
see, we've done this before.

the guy that caused the start of /cmmg/ hated bayhorse discussion. So he forced us to start a new thread for it to get it out of /pmg/
But then he left /pmg/ and spent all his time trolling the new thread he had created with his bitching.
Over time he joined the people he was complaining about, and became the king of the thread he started. It's pretty much his thread.

we can do the same with copper and coins, but I suspect you're just like him. You don't care about keeping /pmg/ pure and on-topic, you only care about trolling people you think are beneath you. So you'd probably leave /pmg/ to go troll the new thread if we made one. And eventually you'd be the king of the new thread and everyone in /pmg/ would be moderately pleased that you're gone.

I'm just curious how you think it would go? I expect you don't want people to leave /pmg/, you just want to argue with them and divide and conquer the thread. Which is fun to watch, but ultimately pointless because they're not going away and apparently you aren't either.

I've wanted to get into this asset class for a while now, I finally jumped the gun last Christmas and put about 2.5% of my net worth into it. Here's some of my bars, I also bought a coin. In the picture there's 4x 100g gold bars (left) and 3x 1oz gold bars (right).

How did I do?
