I feel like they've all already hit their ceiling. The UAE being the one exception -- maybe. And it's incredibly expensive to live there now.

I had a thread about this a few days ago about what place would be the NEXT Dubai, Singapore, etc -
>low taxes
>stable government
>central location/good air hub
>strong/stable currency
>good business environment
>developed economy
>excellent QOL

I don't think such a place exists yet but finding that "next one" in an increasingly closed-off world is going to be tough. Any ideas?

Some thoughts on what MIGHT be that place in the near future:
>Kuala Lumpur (if their government was less corrupt)
>Riyadh (if immigration becomes easier)
>Buenos Aires (if Milei actually figures it out)
>Panama (residency is incredibly hard to come by)

Some really far long shots:
>Rwanda
>Georgia
>Azerbaijan
>Estonia
>Costa rica

Once I exit my startup in late 25/early 25, I want to plant my flag/base in one of those places, get tied-in deeply with the local government/social set and make it into that next place to be. Would be much more fulfilling than sitting here in the west.

He has a point. All of the gulf states are moving away from Oil as a revenue source and using their favorable tax rates/business environs/good positioning between europe and asia to lure international headquarters/ME headquarters for businesses in the interim. Kind of a soft arms race if you will.

Dubai is certainly in the lead and free zone companies are VERY easy to set up, but there are very solid offerings in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia is starting to warm up to this as well.

Pretty cool to see it play out in real time. They're using that currently endless oil revenue to build up housing, business/tech infrastructure, roads, transit, schools, etc. to compete for western dollars and patronage.

My worry is they're all played out, and the real money lies in finding the place to come AFTER them.

I like Malaysia a lot
>very cheap currency
>relatively well-educated populace
>right across the border from Singapore (arguably the most developed nation in the world)
>easy residency program
>strong legal system generally impartial to westerners
>wildly cheap real estate even in nice areas
>favorable business climate
>developed economy
But it's really big and insanely poor locally. That might put a damper on it growing like a singapore

I visited KL in 2019 and anything outside of a 1km radius of the KMCC area immediately turned to Cambodia-tier shit. Otherwise it seemed ok. I stayed at the Intercontinental, and even that room had problems with the bathroom fixtures (incorrectly installed). I would advise caution, despite what Andrew "Based" Henderson says on YouTube. I would instead look into the Fukoka entrepreneurship visa program in Japan.

Oh now that's interesting. I had always assumed Japan was essentially closed off to immigration. Will check out

Yeah nomad capitalist is always pushing malaysia. Not where I initially heard about it, but a good source of info nonetheless

I actually don't see this as a negative though. The whole point of looking for the "next" whatever is that it's not there yet -- means there's a lot to grow. Look at a picture of Dubai fro 1990 or Singapore in 1960 and you'll see the same.
