>bro just become a plumber/electrician/floorhand they make 100k a year with no experience!!!
>look up floorhand jobs
>only 75k a year, 4+ years experience required
so where can i find these oilfield jobs that supposedly pay 100k a year with no experience?

you don't want those jobs you work long hours and get treated like a brown subhuman

Blue State
Union

easy as.

Pro tip: Get a commercial drivers license
It opens many doors

those are gone bro. They still exist but those days of making a phone call and flying out next day are over. Pick a trade where you get a certificate/qualification. You don’t want to work literally on the rigs either. Go maintenance/refinery/process type jobs. Shutdowns at big plants. More fun and you aren’t in fear of your uneducated coworker accidentally killing you

Not entirely UNtrue. But a little bit over the top.
>treated like a subhuman
A kick in the ass never hurt a well adjusted human
>long hours
10 isn't long
12 are not consistent
Over 8 is time and a half and double the hourly.
That's where the 100k lives.

i thought most of them were union? i guess they can still treat you like shit
>>57459578
not american. but yeah it seems like a commercial drivers license would help
>>57459605
i was told that working on the actual rigs wasn't that bad but you're probably right. maybe i should look to get a cert in something
