I was in the office life a couple of years ago and got severely burnt out. Thinking of taking up a simple trade like house painting or locksmithing. Any other niche trade ideas anons? I don't want recommendations of electrician, plumbing, etc. where you have to spend 50,000 years going through licensed training and apprenticeships and all of that bullshit. I'm already in my early 30's so I ain't got no time for that when I already wasted most of my 20's in college + wagie life.

Watchmaking, if you can swing it. Rolex runs a two year program, if youre accepted (they only take like 5% of applicants) then you'll be one of less than 100 people in the US certified to work on Rolex repair, and Ive seen job postings that offer six figure salaries. They also hire half the students directly out of the program.
