So you're telling me that:
1) exchanges can make millions,
and
2) Fidelity and BlackRock, etc can buy BTC for their ETFs at a massive discount...

IF the BTC price goes to 34K?

who or what causes the market to move towards max pain? is it the exchanges, because they profit from liquidations?
do they really have the power to single handedly dump bitcoin from $40k to $34k? that's a pretty big move

>> No.57397734

>>57395697
Not so much for bitcoin. There are literally Billions in profit in liquidations down to 34k.

There's no real demand, there's no new money, its just grayscale btc going into ETFs where they hope that retail will buy their bags.

>grayscale btc going into ETFs where they hope that retail will buy their bags
that sounds more bullish than you probably intended
so a multibillion dollar company is buying huge amounts of bitcoin at the current price because they believe retail will make the price go higher?
sounds good, me too

>>57398020
And by market I mean Bitcoin. Also it makes sense that 34k is a liquidation level as that's where the 200dma is. People put their stop losses there.

Yeah and they are wrong. We would be seeing already tons of demand based on all time highs ETF hype but there is mode dumping than demand. Also pic rel will do the rest.

>> No.57398095

Means that if the price goes to 34k even for a second Binance and a lot of other exchanges make billions of dollars, because people gamble with leverage having to leave a certain amount they will lose at a predetermined level price as "insurance". At 34k a loooot of people lose that money to the exchanges.

>> No.57398127

>>57397758
ok genius, where did that money come from, and how you know is not retail? Illuminate us.

Bitfinex. The exchange that prints tether just happens to be the only exchange that combines spot and perp into a single order book. Bitfinex 100% controls this market when it needs to.

here you have a lot of metrics

>> No.57398266

>>57395697
You just happen to have overbought levels, miners selling, and Bitfinex owns a monopoly on all the exchanges and tether. They liquidate leveraged positioning when they can for a profit. So its a combination of things.

this may be a dumbass question but what if we all sell and abandon bitcoin and go to something better

That something else would become very valuable and bitcoin would lose its value. Prices are determined by what investors are willing to pay for them. That's it.
