This machine here has afforded me a ton of silver and enough gold to fill one of the mini coopers from the italian job remake. Biggest part to come off it was the size of a short bus, giant chungus of titanium that had a large cavity forged into its shape. Ilthe outer layer looked like mcfucking clay and all cracked, but about an inch in below all that was consistent, crack free titanium. I have more aluminum than airbus and longsneed mcmartin combined.

Kek the fanuc and seinens guis are pretty streamlined but this machine has so many features. I sorta sperged when i bought it and checked all the boxes for the bells and whistles. A lotta parts that would take momths for other shops to make, i make in a few days, granted its just a handful of parts anymore than like 10 and any other shop'd be competitive as myself however i have my machines literally buult into thebground, 10 feet of special cement for cnc machines. Cnc is super foolproof, it's a matter of using them, aligning stuff, and making jigs n fixtures. I have one machine dedicated to prepping a step forthe other machines, just use the crane to plop the metal chunk to the fence and the stop, the offset is already set to the corner of the stock material; the program moves to the centerline to cut out the [redacted] which holds the part in place on the [redacted] which have been aligned on the machine using my special fixtures so i literally play with a crane and legos all day. Got some dudes workin for me too. Good fellows, one of them isna total programming nerd and i pay him more than longsneedmcmartin was paying him so hes not going anywhere. My boys graduated through this shop years ago, but they moved into other sectors in the manufacturing industry.

After a while when your settled in you most likely also will end up with a manual mill in your garage lol one guy that used to work for me made these dies that he uses to forge scissors, had an instantgram for a few years but then he got a job at some big MiC company that paid him swellingly and i nvlever got the chance to order some good scissors oh well.

I took some when I needed to taper booze for life events.

The first couple of years were tough but once word spreads amongst other shops that you exist, work tends to come your way and then you end up settling into what other people didnt wanna do for a while. There were these little forgings that were somewhat intricate, it was literally 3 bores and some features, i bought an adjustable tri spindle and spent days aligning them on test stock until inwas able to do all 3 holes in the part in one pass. Ended up being twice as fast as before so i made tons of them, probably too many because i haven't gotten that contract in maybe a decade. Dont even know where the trindrill is and that company that made it went bankrupt in 2019, there is a company called suburban tooling that was my next contact to make a fixture kike that. It was a tool holder that attached to the spindle head on the outside as well as the inner taper, and it had a central ellipctic gear attached to a gear train that had 3 spindles that were pretty close to each other. Specially designed so that it could accept these little er collets on each spindle. An exceptional little device that was well worth the money. I had to go to a destination wedding for a week and needed to cut back hard on my beer drinking. My folly is that is once I have 6, I have 15.
I tapered myself to 10 a night
Then I used Naltrexone (that I got online) over a week to taper (happily physically and mentally) to 6 light beers a night.
I remember the first night of the trip I drove 8 hours, got to the inlaws, took a Naltrexone and melatonin and that was the first non alcoholic night I had in about 5 years and it was perfect.
The following week I had about 10 beers throughout the entire week and I enjoyed each like a normal human and not a degenerate alcoholic.
Just feel it out over the short term, then regroup and make a long term plan.
As awesome as it is, it has never let me permanently crack the code. I just reset for a bit.

I almost bought one of those Johnson Matthey 100oz bars last night. Seems like they are on a good sale at the moment. Thought it would be nice just to bite the bullet but then had second thoughts thinking about having to pay it off.
