>ZIM also had a hilariously low P/E.
ZIM was a peak cyclical benefitting from a temporary situation and could be predicted by watching the number of ships sitting off the coast of California. They profit off short term leases while contracting long term with the ship owners themselves, so it was obvious they would eventually see huge losses. In total they paid out $40 in dividends giving all the early investors more than their cost basis, but it ran up way to hard off yield chasing retards.
PBR is just cheap because investors are all scared of Brazil. It's been paying consistently high variable divvies based on oil price for 2-3 years now. They've achieved a pretty competitive extraction cost, so the large divvies will likely continue for the near future. It's not an amazing investment at current prices though.

>It’s not an obvious trade. Arbitrage never is.
And therein lies your answer. Your average retail investor is too uninformed to hold enough confidence to say this is a sure thing. The stock trades where bid meets ask, at the marginal buyer.
And those that have enough experience to have confidence, have no reason to play this at anywhere near $29.85 because they are smart enough to find alpha in other plays too. Why buy something with no upside? Why hold a large position at relatively small upside?
And when it comes to institutional arb money, most of them have too much aum to make bets on a small merger like this without swinging the odds around, and in general those funds are unwilling to take on even the slightest risk of drawdowns because they're more focused on earning a consistent t-bill + premium yield.

All you can really get out of SAVE trading at $16 is that there are only around $2 billion dollars worth of collective capital from investors willing to take enough time to research the case, and enough knowledge/experience to say with reasonable confidence that they think the odds are substantially higher than current implied odds to the point where it's worth taking a stake.
And even then, with every tick higher in the share price, their calculated risk/reward shrinks and those investors' collective optimal holding size declines, feeding the ask price that supports new buyers.

Well when you get down to it this is the only thing that matters; enjoying life as much as you can before your called to the pearly gates. (Sometimes when the "call" happens is out of your control so keep that in mind). Jobs, well, some people actually enjoy theirs. Most people treat them as a means to an end. Both cases your objective is the same; doing all you can to shorten the amount of time you gotta do "whatever" so you can instead kick back and enjoy the rest of your life with your remaining time on this earth. Which is why people who blindly go into debt, etc fuck themselves. Your basically saying "yes I want to waste more of my time working rather than kicking back doing whatever". (aka college; yay get booted with a bag of debt right from the get go. that's all a college education is good for anymore unless a doctor, lawyer or some such profession)

No. It's not going to shoot up to $29 until they close and launch the formal tender, obviously.
The makeup of the shareholders will likely turnover before that point as well, considering the current trial speculators are not necessarily interested in holding out to see what games DoT may try, nonsense DoJ appeals, other attempts to block, finance risks, etc. I'd sell the majority of my stake above $25-26. Risk free rate is 5%.
One thing I can say with near certainty is that there will be no jetblue renegotiation unless the judge enforces substantial stipulations of partial remedies in his ruling. That risk is directly tied to the trial risk, and an unworkable remedy is more likely to just kill the deal outright.
Seeing some analysts last month hype up fears that jetblue would push through a recut was a key factor that lead to the huge buying opportunity below $10. There's plenty of data on the value planes have right now, and the recent HA buyout adds more support. Unfortunately for spirit, their standalone brand is negative value at this point.

Retirement; 20 years in, benefits for life afterward. (in at 19 out at 39). Perks; via on base perks, etc long as your not a stupid fucker you can keep a good part of your pay. almost certainly useless. the fact that YOU like the product won't predict stock performance at all. however if you think A LOT of people like the product, that's a bit more useful but more difficult to judge. the potential popularity of a product is a factor in company/stock performance but there are tons of other things to consider.

Oil has bounced from its lowest and hardest support line, bolstered by demand resurgence as the global economy is holding up much better than thought (especially the US which is thriving under high rates). Most countries are expected to grow much more than this year and so on and on. The recession and supply and demand FUD was fuckin bs and oil is catching up.
Still, oil has been very weak as evident by it going to its lowest support line. Now if China somehow unclogs itself, oil might stand a decent chance next year

Interesting names appear around GreenX Metals

Doug Casey - listed as a keynote speaker on https://www.forum-1.com/en/ https://www.forum-1.com/en/speakers where GreenX Metals had a presentation including about their ARCproject at Greenland (https://mining.com.au/greenx-metals-unearths-high-grade-copper-sulphides-at-its-arctic-rift-project-in-greenland/).). Online video with that presentation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoTk9ym98Bo

According to https://www.forum-1.com/en/program/day-1 Doug and GreenX Metals had presentations the same afternoon.

Rick Rule - has been constantly praising Sovereign Metals in recent months, whose board includes many GreenX Metals members. When selecting the companies in which it invests, it takes into account, among others, the experience of the teams and their successes, especially if the members have experience in the past in deposits similar to those currently of interest to the companies. I currently see no mentions of GreenX Metals in Ricks's interviews or his surname in known lists of major shareholders of GreenX Metals stock.

Doug and Rick have known each other for decades and are known for, among others, investing in the mining sector, giving joint interviews. Particularly interesting is Rick's connection with a guy named Eric Sprott. Rick also recently mentioned a company operating in Panama that wants to sue the Panamanian government. He mentioned that he is going to buy their shares.

All three are known for investing in raw material companies, including metal mining companies. Of the three, Sprott probably represents the largest capital and the highest risk tolerance, although it is not known whether he is interested in Greenland and GreenX Metals itself.

They know Rio Tinto people.

Rick Rule also offers free evaluation of the portfolio of mining partners (via a form on his website), so anyone who wanted to could have plenty of time to learn Rick's opinion about Greenx Metals. I am not personally familiar with it.

There is some truth to this, but I need to work.

Not a 2 hour commute 40 hour week goblin. Made it a few years back with some lucky crypto trades and inheritance. Tried the whole do nothing, surf, party travel thing for 6 months and felt unfulfilled.

I said fuck it, and went to an elite graphics school crash course, and got a job at a famous video game company doing what I liked. Absolutely zero stress because I don't NEED the job and laugh off all the politics at work, but I am much happier now.

Call me cuck, wagie, whatever. Working in a creative field is necessary for my soul. Cant argue why, but it is.
