We are rapidly heading towards a Cyberpunk esque future where the only form of currency is controlled by corporations. Crypto, as of right now, is the earliest form of this new type of currency. In the future, formally elected governments will exist only in name and the real power will lie in the hands of corporations/conglomerates who will issue their versions of currency and essentially further enslave the populace through reliance. Banks and classical monetary and fiscal policy will slowly cease to have any meaningful power as corporations slowly seize the money supply (hence the reduction in power of formally elected governments). You will be paid in the currency issued by whatever corporation your area falls under the jurisdiction of, although future block chain technology will ensure that you can transfer/use this currency in other areas. Think of it as a natural progression of human economic development similar to how mercantilism gave rise to modern capitalism. However, please note:

bureaucracy is already a proxy between corpos and the population.

You won't have a job, everything will be done by AI. Maybe 10% of people will keep jobs. The rest will live on UBI. Companies will hate this, so they will have their own tokens and accept that, since most of the fiscal money will be taxed away from them and given out for UBI to the cattle slaves that make up most of society. Everything you do, type online, or interact with will record everything and it will all be analised by one AI or another. Yikes, you typed the N-word? You heckin' said you didn't love mixed race marriages? That's a yikes from me and a 50% take on UBI earnings for the next year. And in this situation there will be no way to make it. Violent uprisings won't work against an army of 100,000,000 drones powered by AI who can snipe you from 10,000 feet. You WILL be a slave unless you can get enough money to be in the elite who will survive in small wealthy, walled off cities.
