Luv me creampies. I bought this awesome ~30 year-old Italian-made "Simac Il Gelataio Magnum" ice cream machine for $20 at a garage sale last year but only started using it the past week, it's built like a tank and has an internal cooling unit so it's extremely easy to use. 1-1.25 quart capacity might seem insufficient to the gluttonous hambeasts of today but holy shit, the quality and silky-smooth richness is unparalleled. Gonna try making some fruit sorbets and daquiris soon, I can't believe I've lived so long without this machine as a permanent fixture in my kitchen. Used they'll set ya back $200+ on eBay but it's totally worth it, it's an amazing machine.

Thats how the marxists deploy their satanic propaganda, they try (and fail) to corrupt all aspects of society with their pedo globo homo degeneracy in the hope it will infect decent average people and as we've seen with all these companies who have gone woke they are now going broke.

They're new world order ideology is being rejected and is dead on arrival, now we wait of the collapse and the reset where it will be our world and little pedo scum go back into hiding and never show their faces again.

>site dedicated to anime and Japanese culture
maybe in the 2000's. It's like saying Facebook is still only intended for messaging between Harvard Students. This website became way more than that for more than a decade now, beyond your comprehension.

ANYWAYS, NEVERTHELESS, THOUGHEVER- 4chan(nel) is no longer an "anime website" outside a small number of boards, but it still has a strong anime heritage and flavor due to its historical origins.

I don't really get the people that hate anime posting. It's not a big deal. If you don't like anime just ignore them, or just quietly respect their preferences and move on. I don't even own any metals I was just lurking and I had to say a thing or two about this matter.

It's kinda a core premise

you don't HAVE to post anime, but if you hate anime you're definitely on the wrong website. There are several other less anime'd websites you'd probably prefer. And nobody here would mind if the anime haters left. Not even a little bit. We never wanted them here in the first place.

hope this helps. Upvote or whatever all you reddit clowns do.

But people that hate anime (not me btw so don't shoot the messenger) do perfectly fine on non-anime boards, exactly because anime is not required to participate in non-anime boards.

You're just biased and think anime is a core/necessary part of 4chan culture because you love anime. Perfectly understandable. I have my own biases too.

Yes I understand that too, but original intents by the founders and the early adopters are not divine/natural law for eternity. Sometimes things can grow way larger than what the founder intended, and you can't block something you can't stop. This reminds me of the original author of Pepe the Frog drawing a "funeral" for Pepe in hopes that this would make the internet would stop using him for offensive memes.

People that gatekeep about 4channel being an "anime website" don't understand that the "gate" that they're trying to block is no longer there. The original anime fans of old 4chan created "containment boards" because anime fans were talking about other topics.

What they didn't realize was that the "containment boards" themselves attracted non-anime people that were interested in those "contained" topics. It was never going to be a solid "anime fan comes to /a/ ---> anime fan with other interests go to a containment board" pipeline.

When there are more non-anime "containment boards" than actual anime boards, 4chan was destined to become far more than an anime website.

>I like it sometimes, and I keep my mouth shut if I don't like it

Immensely beautiful pic, never gets old.

>Greco-Gallic Massalian silber
Got myself few oboles and hemioboles in a lot not long ago, cute tiny coins, but i sold them back quite rapidly for a marginal profit. I found myself enjoying more the fatty coins as of late, and gauls/myriad of tribes with weird names in that area weren't really good at this kek.

I'm kicking myself for having set up my alarm 1mn late and missed a lot of 30 beautiful nummus/antoninians/.. who went for just 70€ yesterday.
And today a seller sold a bunch of feudal silver deniers to identify at 10€ a pop. The conditions weren't too nice on top of being partially uncleaned, but i know they always are pretty populat here, so i spent my afternoon identifying them. Managed it just in time, but i at the last moment i noticed this fucker forgot to delay each auctions and they all ended at the same time. I was overwhelmed and couldn't properly assess my priorities, watching minicoins figuratively slip through my hands kek.
Out of frustration i randomly & furiously hit the bid button while closing my eyes. Of course i did terrible using this """"strategy"""".

I'm now trying to calm down, i didn't connect back to ebay for now, i'm too afraid to witness the wreckage. All i now is it's no bueno.

Fighting about Japanese cartoons is cute and all, but Japanese metals are much cooler. I bought this hand-forged 18th century blade years ago and even though it's just 26" with tang I had gotten it so damn razor-sharp that I could cut through living trees up to 4" in diameter with 1 clean powerful slice, it's almost surreal. I don't think I could do that with any other type of blade on earth, the Japs really knew what they were doing.

Quite understandable that you prefer the chunkybois, tetradrachms are large enough to still impress people who are used to modern coinage. My first hemidrachm really tripped me out with how small it felt relative to all the relatively modern coins I was used to, but my brain was recalibrated as I got more familiar with them and now it no longer registers. I probably would've been completely flabbergasted if I got a tiny tetartemorion (1/24th of a drachm) before that first hemidrachm.

>, i'm too afraid to witness the wreckage. All i now is it's no bueno.

Fack that sucks man, I too have slept through some amazing deals or gotten screwed by auction ending times that I didn't realize were all practically simultaneous but it's a learning experience that'll make you do better next time. I *highly* recommend using an auction sniping service like www.gixen.com, you can use it to a limited degree for free but the subscription is cheap, it's paid for itself many hundreds of times over. Sitting around the computer anxiously waiting to bid on things kinda sucks, setting everything up well ahead of time and spending your time doing other things is way more pleasant and efficient. Auction snipers are a real godsend for intrepid cheapie slurpers.

It truly is mindblowing they could use this, you better not be shaking during a transaction and be careful for wind gusts kek. When i showed to frens my first hemiobol, they thought i was trolling them, that i simply picked up some speck from the ground. They couldn't believe something so tiny could have been used as coinage. I too was quite shocked, simply because each time you watch some serie or movie taking place in ancient times, they always transact in big ass gold coins worth a year of salary to purchase just a 'dwich.

lol yeah man, same reaction from my friends too. As a kid I had gotten a tiny Indian gold Fanam so was aware that minuscule coins existed, but i just assumed they were exceptional outliers. Realizing that smol coins were actually standard and common took a some getting used to, but I luv'em now.

Hell yeah, you're taking your game to the next level now fren! I agree that watching the clock tick down awaiting the right moment to snipe can give you a pleasant adrenaline-rush, but it's easy to overdose and get anxious and overstimulated so overall it's much better to let the sniping service do it for you, especially when you have a bunch of items all ending in quick succession. Besides being much more time-efficient I got tired of getting fucked by the internet farting out or an automatic update or random inopportune computer lagging making me miss bids. Once you get used to the sniping service I doubt you'll ever go back, it's an awesome tool.

Yeah you did fine fren, I doubt even the shittiest ones would sell for much under $10 so while that one ain't too pretty it's definitely a few steps better than some of the crap I've seen. I know you're in the "buffet" phase where you're sampling all sorts of things to learn what you like but try to remember that it's almost always better to have 1 nice $100 coin than 10 fugly $10 coins, good deals on nicer coins aren't as plentiful as deals on bottom-of-the-barrel cheapies but you want coins that make you happy to look at and fondle in addition to being historically/intellectually stimulating, the latter is nice but having the package deal is much more satisfying.

I really do try, and i know you are 100% correct, but i'm such a cheapsteak it's like a constant struggle against who i am. I was raised in a house where i've alway been dressed with second hand clothes, second hand books, no consoles, always the cheapest things. My parents weren't even poor, even rather well off, but they themselves have been raised this way and only started to become less savvy in their 50s. So it's like a second nature to me to always go toward the cheapest thing i can find. I still do wear second hand clothes, mostly from friends' leftovers lol.

But i can't keep this mentality or else i'll never have anything nice to show for, destined to always own the crappiest versions of anything i'm interested in. I can't be stuck there forever.

Here's what I do. Since crap coins are easier to flip for a 2x or more, I slurp them up. Also easier to get in volume, right? Cheaper.

so I slurp the crap coins at auction and list them on ebay as buy-it-now for twice what I paid or more. Usually they're low dollar items so even at twice the price they're pretty cheap and someone comes along and buys them. I take those profits and slurp more coins. Just constantly buying and selling crap coins I don't want in my collection. Do this enough times and I've got the profits I need to buy the good coins I want, and the bonus is aside from the work I did buying and selling, they're basically free. Like my buying and selling pays for my collecting high dollar coins. Like a drug dealer that never has to pay for drugs. I'm a coin dealer that never has to pay for coins. Not sure if that works in your neck of the woods, but it's done fine for me in the US. I've got a coin collection I could never afford or justify on my salary. My coins are worth more than my cars. Almost worth more than my house. And I didn't actually pay for any of them. Just worked for them.

so don't ignore the trash coins. I don't know what the one you posted is actually worth, but in my case if I'll pay $10 for something, there's usually someone out there that will pay $20 or $50 for the same thing. The profits are all in the trash coins. You're not gonna double your money on a high dollar item most days. You can easily double your money on a bunch of trash.

We have a lot in common fren, if they weren't gifts from the women in my family then the rest of my clothes are either 2nd-hand or stuff I found for free. I've spent all of $35 on actually new clothing in the past 2 years, on 2 pairs of sandals. I hoard scrap metal, obsessively hunt down and slurp cheapies, and dig deep holes for dirty antiques instead of just buying them lol. I think one of the reasons I enjoy your frenship so much is because of our similar mental hard-wiring and perspective on the world. I did EXACTLY the same thing as you are doing now when I first got into ancients, or any other collection hobby for that matter, and while I still have a very hard time passing on a bargain I've learned that it's best to be selective and go after the nicest things (at the best prices of course) that you can afford, things you'll still be proud of in 5 or 10 years. You'll figure it out on your own sooner or later, but if you can skip ahead and get there faster than I did then in several years you'll look back and thank yourself for not wasting so much time and money on mediocre things.

Told ya : german LCS. Can't give you the address but they don't ship to the US anyway.
Realistically, average prices are more around $15 for 2RMs and $25 for 5RM in the US if you scout on ebay iirc.
Ps : just looked now the sold listings on ebay US, and it seems most Buy It Now options are at $18 for the 2RM and $30-40 for 5RM.
As i warned for years, RMs will become the best investment vehicles now the world is waking up to jewry nefariousness. The demand is increasing at a furious pace. Less than 2 years ago you could get those coins for half this price, and the supply still was plentiful, now it dried up and prices will surge dramatically. It will double once again before the end of 2024, i'm convinced of it. And double again in 2025.

These coins were ignored for the longest time, but now the goyim shaming tactics aren't working anymore like it did on boomers, RMs will be seen as both as a silver investment, a forbidden historic artifact, a superloaded collective consciousness memetic power, and a political stance/membership token. It's important to remember 90% of those were melted down by the allies during Germany's occupation, then sent back to Moscow and New York in bars. And were only in production for 3 years. There aren't that many left to slurp. Never habeen.

Me think if you can find a decent deal, this is the most nobrainer purchase one can make.

Can you recommend any serviceable USB coins/smalls cameras that I can just plug into the computer and use take pictures more efficiently? Using my android potato or old digital camera then having to cull the bad shots and crop everything is too unwieldy and time-consuming when there're hundreds of little things in queue to be sold.

>> No.56827182

not really, sorry.

I used to use a flatbed scanner on coins, but I wasn't ever really happy with the results. So what I do is haul the batch of coins out into the sunlight on a background designed to brighten or darken the coin, and then snap three pics of each side with the android while backing the camera slowly away from the coin. Then I have to scroll through the pics on my computer and choose the best one. Crop, resize, post. It's an enormous pain in the ass, but still not as time consuming as shipping. On the plus side I now have decent photos of almost every coin in existence in my branch of the hobby.

I really need to. But as it still is relatively new to me, i feel like alibaba in the thieves' cavern, i opened my eyes to the many treasures availible, feeling in a hurry, ready to rush for the grotto's exit, but i've only 2 hands to carry stuff. So like the noob i am, i'm going for the nearest pile of random coins instead of pausing for a minute, look around me, and finally notice this splendid persian solid gold vase with beautiful ornaments. The vase would take up both hands (budget) to lift, so i don't even bother looking at it.

Based. You can release a full color glossy print book on your Colorado tokens and maybe sell 50 copies, but in 50 years it'll be legendary and people will pay a fortune to get one. The "Plate Coins" (tokens) from your collection would also fetch the highest premiums, it would give you something to kek heartily about watching things from the grave.

Yeah the backing away thing seems to help my camera either focus better or it adjusts the focus if it's too close initially. Either way my last shot is usually the best one, with dust and tiny details visible in perfect focus.

I've seen some very professional looking photos from actual coin dealers sometimes, but most of us are just using potato cameras and getting shots that are good enough but not great. That's why I love to interview our coin photographer here, that guy does amazing work on mint state stuff.

I won't put out a book, but I'm a contributor on a new book and a white paper that should be out in the next decade or so, as well as on the main website for that kind of junk. Not for my pics, just research. My photography is sufficient for ebay, but nothing great at all.

Where it really paid off the most for me so far is scouting for foreign silver coins lots. There is always at least one or more rare coin, a beautiful condition one i can sell as VVF, or a rare date. People are too lazy so they don't take the time to search for every coin in the pics.
My first lot like this was a bunch of 5F coins -full potato pic taken in the dark-, but i noticed something was off with few details, gave it a chance and 2 of the coins ended up being from Napoleon's first consul era, and weren't far from being 10 baggers. It immediately hooked me up.

Heh, when it does happen it kinda gives me a brain-chub. If anons think my slurps are way too good to be true, to the point that they feel compelled to publicly cope by saying I'm lying or misrepresenting the facts, then it's just an open admission that I possess both superior talent and an IQ well beyond their grasp. It's a comfysmug kinda feel lol. I'm just in my 30s though so I can clearly recognize the far deeper skill and expertise of oldfag slurpers who've been doing it since before I was born, maybe one day I'll be as good as they are but I'm certainly not there yet. Anyway it is very gratifying to see that plenty of anons have ventured outside-the-box and opened their minds to the many interesting and gainful facets of PMs beyond the narrow lanes of just buying at retail from APMEX or the LCS and selling back at a loss. I'm not responsible for the anons dabbling in Denarii or scooping up sterling at a garage-sale but maybe I've helped increase the general comfort level or appreciation for such things here.

>So like the noob i am, i'm going for the nearest pile of random coins instead of pausing for a minute, look around me, and finally notice this splendid persian solid gold vase with beautiful ornaments. The vase would take up both hands (budget) to lift, so i don't even bother looking at it.
That's an incisive illustration fren, I'm exactly the same. It takes effort to fight one's instincts but with a bit more experience I'm sure you'll find yourself slurping those fine vases too instead of just the cheap stuff. You're still in the absorbing/learning phase, a stage that I think is an essential prerequisite to becoming experienced enough to seek and find those more special "sleeper" things, but just remember that you shouldn't splash around there forever and miss out on the greater adventures and conquests waiting beyond.

Yeah, lots of early/mid 20th century Central and South American coin bowls and ashtrays but I haven't seen any better than his. I have seen some fake modern Chinese-made bowls with fake coins set in the bottoms, they mimic the genuine "Export Silver" pieces made into the 30s and the later Sterling articles from Hong Kong made into the 60s, but they're not too convincing yet. that may be a better way to think of it. as a way to protect your existing wealth from inflation and the devaluing of the fiat currency.
if things continue to be debased, today's dollars will be worth much less in a couple of years.
$100 worth of silver today could be worth $400 dollars in next year's dollars.
not solely a matter of PMs increasing in intrinsic value, but also a function of the devaluing of the dollar.
Gold and Silver are solid choices.
as real physical assets or commodities is the idea.

Silver. Cheap silver.
IMHO, the best silver for Americans is full rolls of 1964 halves, quarters and dimes. They are ubiquitous, full weight, universally recognized (in the US anyway) and can be easily subdivided.
After that I would say 10 bars as bulk instruments.

Don't buy meme round/bars or any other old coins (including Morgans!) unless you want a hobby or they are selling near melt. They will either be hard to sell or you won't want to sell them.

Once you start thinking, "Jesus, where I'm I going to keep all this silver???", then switch to gold. Hoard fiat until you can afford full ounces. If you ever need to exchange something smaller, just use your silver.

Happy Stacking, newFren!

Spot is 444 CAD, so it's almost 100 leaf bucks over spot. It's not a good price at all. That extra premium is for the novelty factor. The last 5gram bar I bought cost me $20usd in total premium which seems about average for the better dealers on smaller bars the past year ($4/gram). If you really like it, I say get it. It's obviously being made because of the new movie coming out, so I assume they'll be making a lot of them as a promotion. Once the promotion is over they might have some additional collector value. No way to say for sure right now.

If you want to spend ~$500CAD, but silver bars.
If you want gold, save your fiat until you can afford *AT LEAST* a ~1/4 oz size. (or LMUs at worst)

>> No.56829194

>>56829125
1/4oz coins are usually carry a slightly higher premium ($5-6/gram) than 5-10 gram bars at $4-$5/gram (depending on sales/dealer).

The advantage of coins is of course that their easier to verify authenticity by not requiring you to remove them from assay and you can claim the face value of the coin if traveling. It's probably worth the extra few dollars for most people in my opinion, but there's nothing wrong with some small bars from a price perspective. At the end of the day, you're only saving on average about $70/oz for a 1oz coin vs an equivalent amount in small bars if you buy sales and pay with check/wire for both.

If junk isn't cheaper than bullion there's little reason to buy it other than meme value, mercury dimes especially. I think in the US it's mostly not worth it nowadays, but you're the burger so you know better than me.

I only get junk nowadays because it’s lower premium than rounds and coins where I live. If it wasn’t or the premiums rose too much more I wouldn’t buy it. I’d never buy it online right now especially because you can’t seem to find it for anywhere close to other silver bullion.

I don’t understand the premium either.
What is your overhead on making it that justifies you charging more than other modern minted stuff? It’s already been made

Here are the reasons to buy Junk over Bullion:
1). Fractional without the premium.
<What are you going to do if silver really does become highly valued and you're carrying around a bunch of 1oz rounds worth $3-400 dollars in todays purchasing power?
2). Recognizable and Ill faked
>These coins are more recognized as silver than Apmex generics and buffalos, and will be trusted over those any day. Many will balk at your foreign coins.
3.) Junk silver is the first choice for the new stacker.
<Most people who become nervous about the value of the dollar frequently purchase junk silver for the same reasons above as their first purchase. Much more Junk silver is going to be held and in circulation above bullion.
4). Simple rules, Simple tools.
<$1.40 FV of Junk == 1 Troy Oz of physical
>These coins were made for circulation .90 >composition keeps them in great shape despite being mishandled and changing hands often
>Bullion coins however are easily scratched and bent.

There are probably many other reasons to stack junk silver, I have not provided an exhaustive list. I encourage you to consider the reasons I listed above, before deciding whether you would want bullion vs Junk silver.
For me personally, I have bullion sure, but as a currency in the U.S. Junk silver takes the Ribbon and is a great value even now against their historically low premiums.

Would you rather have $500 in hundreds or $450 in tens?
That’s my thinking, if I need something less I can clip off a piece of bullion like they used to do with coins and pay by weight.

Also to argue that junk silver is less worn out than bullion is a bit of a stretch.

I like junk silver and if it’s going for the same price as bullion I’ll usually choose it. Not when it’s %20 more expensive and I can get more actual silver for the same price. It’s almost as if it’s a numismatic with current prices

leave the rounds in the stack, same as right now
>>56829840
>These coins are more recognized as silver than Apmex generics and buffalos, and will be trusted over those any day. Many will balk at your foreign coins.
coin shops have testing machines and can tell what a coin or round is made out of in seconds
>>56829840
>Much more Junk silver is going to be held and in circulation above bullion
Bullion will never be in circulation because it is not legal tender. If the dollar fails mercs will not be in circulation because they will no longer be legal tender
>>56829840
>Bullion coins however are easily scratched and bent.
Coins are not bullion and bullion is not coinage. Scratches and bends will not change how many ounces are in an ounce.
>you are going to hand over your silver to a bank and take a derivative in hand
No, I will leave the stack in the stack and if the dollar fails I will sell the stack to coin shops to accumulate new currency as needed until the system stabilizes.

All that said I do have some junk. Diversity works, after all.

Recent legislation has states have silver being valued as legal tender with “Spot+Premium”. Junk silver is fractional and wouldn’t demand a higher premium in that case. You figure out how that would work, just the messenger. Also ASE anons might get some of their premiums back in that case.

The weird part about the PM bull thesis is that it seems hyperbolic so as to be grug-tier level of thinking. Just because the timeline takes forever and there is plenty of money to be made in the market does not mean we will ultimately be proven wrong.
The problem is, allowing the government, the education system, the media, hollywood control our society and culture means that we deserve everything coming our way. No one can deny that sticking your head in the sand means you will have decades worth of misery to atone for.
We made a nest of shit and we laid an egg in shit. Now we get to reap the rewards of being retards and allowing our nation to be plundered by international jewry.

I like having morgans and peace dollars in my stack, but if you annons have not learned by now, the ONLY silver coinage that you should consistently stack are Silver Maples and Silver American Eagles. They have the best return on investment and are the easiest to liquidate/ or trade with as they are the most recognizable and respected silver bullion. Stop buying meme coins stop buying rounds, stop buying bars. Eagles and Maples are what you want as the bulk of your stack going forward.

I personally like fractional over junk, but I only buy it from GSM sales when the premiums are low. Besides the 1/10ozers, Ive paid under $5/oz for halves and quarters. I feel like direct fractions will be easier to manage for any trade purposes than using lists or math of junk's silver content, but...that's all conjecture. Who knows what it will look like from area to area though. I think ammo will probably be used more often when direct barter isn't an option (at least going off what I see at swap meets and flea markets in my area).

It used to be that one guy could deliver milk to people's door steps, and he could afford to own a home and raise a family and his wife didn't have to work. To afford that same standard of living today requires le cooleg degree, usually with a life long debt burden, and either a much longer work week or multiple jobs. The prosperity we used to have in America was stolen from us, and dogshit normies let it happen. When the collapse finally, inevitably comes, normies will not appreciate living in a freer, fairer world. They will mourn their chains, and that's why I hate them.

Morgan's are universally more expensive per oz.
Slicks, maybe, but then again, they're only like 90% full weight.
And Morgans are *HIGHLY* collectable, making them not perfectly fungible.

For Morgans, I 'stack' 1921s almost exclusively.
They have the lowest premiums, least wear, and generally trade for about the price of a full oz. I have a few other Morgan's, but as collectables, not stackers.

Another good stacking coin is those God-awfully mid-70s Mexico 100 Pesos (see picrel). They are big and ugly as fuck, but they are cheap and have their silver content printed right on them: "20 g Plata Pura".

If the dollar fails it will be replaced with a new dollar within a fairly short time period. You will not be bartering eggs for sugar and nails for ground beef.
1. buy silver now
2-A. the dollar doesn't fail, three decades from now your wealth has not evaporated from inflation
2-B. the dollar does fail, instead of trading thousands of old dollars for hundreds of new dollars you trade ounces of silver for thousands of new dollars

This is the plan.

I understand the advantanges of state minted coins. But I generally believe that the quantity of silver will far outweigh the type/style. That is not to say people should no junk or no ASE. Quite the opposite. But if you leave 3-4 ounces of generic on the table to secure eagles then that is going to be a lot of value trying to recoup on your ASE premiums. I don't think it will transfer over. Nailing a 10x+ on silver will make splitting hairs of premiums a moot point.
