A CDO - but for Bitcoin!
A BITCOIN CDO!

good idea, so who are you gonna get to underwrite it? You are friends with the executives of a major multinational bank, right? Or have enough bitcoin (minimum eight figures in USD) to make it interesting enough to underwrite?

I know that guy at JPM. Got arrested and convicted for commodity manipulation. Maybe he can help.

There’s not really any such thing as unsecured lending in crypto, that’s not really possible I think at least in the standard definition of CDO, as a CDO implies structured credit risk

Guess my idea came two years too late.

Correct you can profit off of margin loans, which are generally partially cash secured though and automatically liquidated, that already exists though in the form of yield pools.

It says right in your picture though that it requires collateral, that is secured lending, you post collateral you get funds. You don’t pay and you lose collateral

You could argue if SHIB really is "collateral".

>> No.56798956

Imagine lending out your BTC for SHIB. Who the fuck would do that?

I fully agree with that point, I think automating quality collateral pricing will be a huge piece of the puzzle once crypto matures. Yield pool-as-a-money market fund is definitely the future at some point.

So you need debt insurance, don't you?

Nice. Going to short that bullshit.

I placed the bet.
