In January, a well known company is going to announce their move to the Internet Computer and their general support for its vision.

We are expecting this move to increase the price of ICP to over $20 within a day of the news breaking, and in the long-term, the visibility provided by this will likely send ICP back to triple digits within the next 2 years.

Very little can revealed at this time without screwing over the source of this information, but I can say that the company is NOT primarily involved with cryptocurrency, although they've been experimenting with it in recent years, and they are well known enough for there are a few news articles about this.

Main difference between a fake partnership and real one is the consumption process.
To deploy a smart contract on the IC, and to keep it operational. The contract owner must buy and consume ICP tokens. ICP = Digital oil.
ICP's model is deflationary, tokens are burned.

Avalanche subnets
To run a glorified side chain, larping as a subnet on avalanche. To deploy a subnet on avalanche, you must buy and stake, no tokens are consumed, in fact it's inflationary because validators can earn staking rewards. (Banff upgrade).

Avalanche subnet terminology is false marketing.

ICP subnets can be merged together to expand/scale the network and enlarge capacity.
Avalanche subnets are single independent sidechains that can't be merged together in order to expand and scale the network.

ICP's subnet model is deflationary, ICP tokens are consumed, burned to keep contracts operational.
Avalanche's subnet model is inflationary, tokens are not burned, but staked and validators can earn rewards, this is inflationary.
