I kept it all in bitcoin thinking it would be plenty to live off of, even in a bear market. Borrowed against it the whole way down but then life happened to hit me with lots of large, unexpected expenses right as the luna crash was happening. Caused a very fast downward spiral and the debt has kept me completely trapped and sinking further.

My happiest moment these past couple years was when I realized I had $15 worth of old CS:GO skins I could liquidate to pay off a late fee.

depends on your definition of failure. i lost like $50k "trading" but since I persevered and didn't give up I made it back and am continuing

Put in $500 into crypto initially, got hooked on the shitcoin casino.
Put $500 into Mercurity (thanks Boolean, I'll slit your throat someday)

My "portfolio" is worth $50 today, up from $30 a few days ago, before I bought some shitcoin being shilled here.
I live with my parents, working a dead-end job that pays like shit.

My life isn't really different than before I wasted 2 paychecks' worth on crypto. I'm just cured of the idea that life will randomly get good.

if you live with your parents than i'm assuming you have no expenses and can build up money easily. you can't lose by dumping your money into random alt coins hoping they moon. odds are, one of them will. and if they don't, your life can't possibly get worse.

id honestly be doing the same in your situation.

>if you live with your parents than i'm assuming you have no expenses and can build up money easily
I live in a pretty fucked up country where my parents, who worked their asses of for half a century, can barely afford to cover our costs of living with their salary/pension, so I have to contribute.

>you can't lose by dumping your money into random alt coins hoping they moon. odds are, one of them will.
I don't know if I can believe that. The last few years have shown that things can easily go wrong in a way I can't foresee. I'm not really enough of a crypto-zealot to bet my future on the idea that crypto is forever and that it won't be gone in 5 years.

>and if they don't, your life can't possibly get worse.
I have a hard enough time not killing myself knowing that I wasted $1000 on funny internet money, not sure if I could endure it with a bigger sum.

i too lost a shit amount of money. but im halfway back. been in this for 5 years. don't give up. the grandest lessons are the ones you're experiencing yourself. try to catch gold but don't forget to buy some pickaxes along the way. (bluechips over shitcoins)

Lost $100k to the crash of '22. Have less than $10k left in my checking account now, and my portfolio is still over 50% down from breakeven. To make matters worse, all the alts I chose are lagging behind many others that are pulling 3x-5x's like candy, while I only gained 50% from this huge bitcoin rally. It's better than nothing, but I could've made much better decisions during the bear market and I would've broken even by now (ie: if i went all in on Solana when I had the chance).

I'm poor and as a result I'm throwing my wealth into CUMSHITROCKET tokens in the hopes of seeing a 100x or 1000x, I'll be in a thread just like this in four years.

previous cycle alts tend to lag. ditch your bags now
