My dumb ass just sent Polygon network coins on my metamask to my Coinbase.. and didn’t realize Coin base was ERC… now I’m fucked unless Coinbase decides to accept polygon for that coin.

Not a fortune, but about $500….. I wasn’t even drunk…

I can’t tell people because they either won’t understand. I have no one to blame but myself.

Feels bad. Why can’t I just not be dumb..

Yeah, why does Metamask for example not have functions that prevent you from doing this? A simple ask if you want to send over Polygon etc. Also make 2 GUIs, one for retards and another one for "pros". But yeah, ETH will never scale by itself and thanks to the entire space refusing to work together to create a better product and instead choosing short term profit (greed) it won't change unless forced to.

I checked Coinbase and they offer some recovery for some major tokens but this was a small cap coin and I’m shit outta luck.

Stupid thing was the coins originally were ERC, but got hacked, so the company did a screenshot of the blockchain before the hack, and airdropped everyone new coins on polygon.

Now two years later, coinbase listed it; but an ERC version.

Again, I know it’s my fault but this is the shit that keeps crypto from going mainstream and being accepted by regular people. My coworkers think crypto is imaginary internet Monopoly money…
