Becoming a homeowner is within the grasp of almost everyone. Anybody can live frugally for 2-3 years and saving enough for a down payment. I literally cannot comprehend how anybody in the adult workforce for more than five years is still renting, it can only be explained by a lack of intelligence or willpower.

I know what you’re going to say, 'But I want to spend money on Funko Pops or DoorDash.' Have you ever heard of delayed gratification? You can have 3-5 years of living somewhere shitty and eating ramen then take comfort in being a member of the land owning class for the rest of your life knowing both economics and the government heavily favour you.

what if the government stops favoring you because so few people actually own homes anymore compared to renting?
what if rates don't come down and financing costs stay @9%+ causing financing to be too expensive? what if the government decides to raise property taxes in an attempt to fund it's own debts? owning a home and particularly buying now at the top is in no way a sure thing.

Houses have roughly doubled in price since 2010, a 20% ($40k) down payment in 2010 invested instead in SSO would be nearly $500k, invested into QLD would be over a million, I won't even bother telling you how much it'd be if you'd invested into BTC. Putting a significant fraction of your networth into a fucking cardboard shack ESPECIALLY if it also forces you to reduce your DCA into actual well performing asset classes is a one-way ticket to NGMIville.

The only practical escape from the wage cage is investing as high as possible fraction of income into assets that outperform monetary expansion, i.e. BTC or leveraged equities, everything else is a value trap designed to keep you on the wagie plantation.

Buying vs renting just comes down to flexibility. If you buy, you blow a lot of money on interest, maintenance, and closing costs. If you don't stay in one place for longer than two years, those costs can be higher than rent.
Mostly buying is an investment tool for people too stupid to invest unless they're forced to by their mortgage. If you rent and invest the extra in stocks, it's about the same financially.

I own a house already and rent another.
The municipalities of both have increased property taxes ~300%
I paid off last bull run, but anyone who bought in the last 2 years is a massive fucking retard.

yes requires a bit of sacrifice and socializing/ networking. better now than when youre 40.

Even if you paid interest only on your loan you would still end up owning the house outright just from the loan inflating to oblivion. Meanwhile, rent goes up every year with inflation, and more often than not outpaces inflation, despite the rent cuck's hourly wage not keeping up.

Charts before fiat are meaningless under fiat, the easiest way to kick the can is continued debasement, so that's what will happen. The only thing that would stay the oligarchy's hand away from further debasement is a mass secessio plebis, but just look at OP and the other faggots itt, normie trash will continue taking it up the ass

We need to go back to when landowners were the only ones allowed to vote. It would immediately blow the welfarian rentoid the fuck out. The tears would be delicious.

I think you mean 99% of the world would become priced out of homes as billionaires would hoard them to ensure only policies that benefit them can ever be voted in.

Owning a home and not paying rent or a mortgage is freedom. All you have to do is what I did: set your goals, work really hard, and then inherit a house from an old family member.

True. Some people wouldn't be able to put together a deposit if the average house price was down 90%, they'd find something to blow it on. Weak consumer cattle.

The ONLY reason to have a mortgage is to raise children in a home. That's it. Having equity in 25 years is a retarded mindset, how different is your life now from how you thought it could be 10 years ago? Divorce rates are high. Careers change. People get sick. The government fucks you.

You do own it. You're thinking of lease to buy if you think it isn't your property. A mortgage means you owe money on a loan you used to buy the house. The house was already paid for and you're paying back the loan, not paying towards more ownership of the house.
Same as how if you take a loan to get dental implants it doesn't mean you're borrowing the teeth. You borrowed money you used to buy and own teeth.

I don't like dealing with all the bullshit thay comes with a house. When something is broke I just clap my hands and the property owner fixes it. I'll buy someday and have a basedjack face but until then I'll stay a chad carefree renter

There is no teeth tax where if you don't pay it you lose your teeth though
