you can't really do professional style trading with $500 because it's not enough to construct a significant hedged position, and you won't make a significant return, but after learning how your brokerage's buttons work on a paper account the next step is to trade or invest real money even if it's not much because having real money on the line and worrying about spreads and fills matters a lot

Ok if I read the terms right for every Spirit share I own Jetblue will fork out 33.5 for each one once the ink is put to paper. Right now sprint is going for 10.27 a share. So assuming I bagged 1360 shares tomorrow I'd stand to get $45,560 once the ink was dry.
