Women can have careers but ultimately what is most fulfilling for the majority of women is eventually having children and a family. Most women who follow this route will have to eventually decide between aggressively advancing their careers or focusing on their children. Not to mention peak fertility window for women is between 18-30 and unless a woman is retarded she'll probably want to marry a guy sometime in that age range. Sure a woman can easily survive on her own, but being alone is definitely not the most fulfilling life for the majority of women.
