The fact that Goldman Sachs and many other ibanks make massive sums of income from lending shares shows us the moral-hazard that has been created here. The leveraged nature and the counterparty risk of the derivatives market is proving to be a menacing problem they actually can't resolve. ESPECIALLY with retail being an active player. There is no negotiating with us because to do so is to essentially admit guilt and culpability by the SEC. Any of us in financial trouble they would tell us to go through bankruptcy or we would get liquidated. They legally deserve the same. And they are having trouble navigating this problem because it requires an extra-legal solution.
They are absolutely freaking out. They have been caught naked, the tide is getting low and their bare asses have been exposed when things like the DTCC stealing European Brokers' shares occurs. Mishandling a dividend as a split is basically us seeing the DTCCs little penis locked away in a cuck-cage.
It's all but a fact at this point and I think the legal process is well underway to blow the shorts out. There is no way they can contain legal actions to engage in legal M&A activity that forces shorts to close. This is their problem. They are all essentially bankrupt and hiding it.
I expect there to be another situation where some entity like AIG becomes the fall-guy needing a bailout. Find an insurance company to sell a bunch of CDS insurance so the banks and brokers are one step removed from the bailout that is inevitable.
