56478226 No.56478226 [Reply] [Original]

this assumes 700k link from priority pool gets into general access
currently there's 650k in there
https://dune.com/stakedotlinkofficial/stakelink

they are then going to fill their 375k node operator allotment after as there is no time pressure to fill it
this will get a lot of eyes on SDL as community pool will fill and then they will advertise that they have more staking space on offer

>> No.56478239

>>56478226
I heard they will institute TUNGMA as well

>> No.56478308

>>56478258
>The Priority Pool aims to make the staking process on stake.link more accessible and user friendly, and turns stake.link into a “set it and forget it” LINK staking platform. The Priority Pool enables users to queue an amount of LINK to be automatically staked when capacity opens. This design prioritizes simplicity and fairness, addressing significant concerns from the community about potentially missing out on staking events due to unpredictable staking pool availability.

so it sits there until there is space to fill
they will deposit the whole amount into community pool
then say, hey we need another 375k link for our node operators allotment (15 nodes x 25k more allotment in v0.2 = 375k)
the priority pool will also be used to snipe space when people withdraw in v0.2, uses chainlink automation

lpl was $2, sdl is now $0.40
if they get value back to $2 then partially forgiven
what is gone though is the linkpool revenue share
it is possible though that the SDL fees make up for that if they can capture a good amount of the staked link supply, say 10 or 15m

the situation could now actually be better as without the lpl rug i highly doubt that they would have had a such a change to the sdl tokenomics
it's very favorable to sdl stakers now at the expense of node operators

>> No.56479280

>>56479124
That's a good point. Original plan was to airdrop SDL tokens to LPL holders before VCs getting cold feet made revenue share a death sentence for the team developing the SDL platform. In that scenario SDL holders, that is to say what would have been LPL holders would have gotten a worse deal on the only part of the project that actually matters. Worst case scenario by rights LPL holders would have gotten only 1/4 of the fraction the linkpool team got in the configuration of SDL.

>stake.link fees to SDL holders will double

I was a bit confused by this wording, but now I get it
Of course it will double, you are getting jackshit for whatever reason
You may as well have the reward rate be 0, then brag about it increasing infinitely when it gets raised

OP is 100% an SDL shill for trying his luck with "feel good" words

>>56479430
what do you mean "of course it will double"??
it is only doubling due to the nop allotment increase and amount that's going into community pool? we only found this out with the v0.2 announcement...

and no shit i'm shilling retard
this expansion will give 32 link a year for 25k SDL
also gives you priority to get more link into community pool when people withdraw
a 25k stack is currently $10k
$10k buys you 900 link currently
900 link gives you 42 link a year
so sdl is very good buy as it will scale with the more link it gets, also link priority as mentioned
only caveat is that more sdl will be staked so rewards will come down depending on how much is staked

>> No.56479743

the 32 link assumes that you have 25k SDL locked for four years (225,000 reSDL)
what people have to really think about though is when SDL gets 5m or 10m or 15m into the protocol, then the income is very nice
these numbers are just with 1.8m LINK
and we will get build rewards too as SDL holders
>>56479688
the fees for sdl is direct the from chainlink treasury, there are no real overheads

I have 6k LINK with 100 spare for selling atm. And 10K sdl staked at 4 years and 3k 2years for selling later.

3.5 link if you have base lock up....

>> No.56479840

>>56479794
i have 90% of my SDL staked for four years and then 10% no lock to sell if it goes on a run
as you can sell your NFT position i don't think the 1 and 2 year locks are worth it
will be interesting to see how that market for buying positions develops

in terms of buying sdl or link, i think 6k is a good stack, sdl is more r/r, it's market cap is tiny and has big potential
but more link is never bad so your decision really

for those with smaller stacks then obviously i would prioritize link, sdl is bet but a decent one now after tokenomics changes

>> No.56479914

At the current prices I could get either
>28 link 0.45% of my stack
Or
>831 sdl 6.39% of my stack

But link should pump to $15 usd this weekend and sdl seems to be pumping with it.

I have roughly 5k staked in the main pool, and 1k in the priority pool. I'm not sure if I should have it all.staked for early access in the main pool.

It would guarantee me a spot in the low chance that some whales front run everyone when general access opens up. (Unlikely i know).

However I'm not sure staking with linkpool is worth the risk compared to staking with chainlink, i dont even know how much bigger the apy will be, also i don't think the priority pool airdrop will be that big.

This is what I don't understand.

If i have 1k link staked as stLink. And I get a reward and have 1001 stLink. Does my staking income count at 1000 or 1001?

>> No.56480387

>>56480351
i don't get your question exactly but stlink is a rebasing token
so the stlink will increase in your wallet reflecting the reward rate
this is the same as ethereum lsts like stETH, rETH, cbETH
sdl is first mover in chainlink lsts

>> No.56480873

>>56480387
Is my rewards % based on my link staked or stLink? Because it it's stLink then it doesn't make sense.

Say there is a max pool of 20000 link. I stake 20k link and get 20k stlink. My stlink rebases to 21k stlink, then that 21k rebases..... I now have more than the 20k pool limit 'staked' earning rewards

>> No.56481099

>>56480873
yes that's why the reward rate for stLINK is slowly dropping:
